I've thought about getting a Twin Peaks tattoo for a couple of years, and finally decided it definitely has staying power and is worth it. Going for an owl with Chevron stripes on the torso, "The owls are not what they seem," incorporated, possibly in banner form, but consulting with a tattoo artist. Plan on getting Coop, Leland, Audrey maybe added to the half sleeve. Bob maybe. Adding the symbol of the Black Lodge to the owl's forehead area. Maybe a diary on there somewhere. Possibly Harold Smith's suicide note: "J'ai une âme solitaire."

Possibly the bitten off poker chip? The Bookhouse Boys seal? A cup of coffee and some cherry pie? My arm is a blank canvas.

Could definitely work for the Audrey bit of the piece. I'm really working on the owl now, though. Trying to get White Lodge/Black Lodge incorporated, the Chevron stripes, "The owls are not what they seem..."

eesh those Twin Peak tattoos just sound like bad ideas all around but if you are 100% sure about it then go ahead but please please please don't get the photo-realistic one that you are thinking about.

Yeah - They don't always turn out that great.

Why not? A good artist can make anything look nice.
