What browser do you use?

So there are 4 major browsers. IE, Firefox, Opera and Safari.

I have IE, Firefox and Opera on my computer. I don't mind IE, but I have been using Firefox a lot more in the last few months. I got opera because I liked it on my phone, but I guess I don't so much on the computer. I have never tried Safari.

Which ones do you use?

You can select more than one.

Nosmada 01-27-2008 09:40 PM

Fox for me

Predator 01-27-2008 10:03 PM

I just got bored and installed Safari. It is quite a bit faster than even Firefox. My only problem is that I'm not used to using it. I'll review it later, after I'm used to it.

ProggyMan 01-27-2008 10:08 PM

Safari.

savannah 01-27-2008 10:51 PM

uhhh
i have no clue
how would i know that

Lizzie 01-27-2008 10:54 PM

I have not the slightest clue either

Predator 01-27-2008 11:03 PM

If you have no clue and have a PC, my guess would be IE.

If you look at the top of the internet window, it will tell you what it is. Right now, mine says "What browser do you use? - Music Banter - Mozilla Firefox". Yours should be about the same, the the mozilla firefox part will be replaced with your browser name

Seltzer 01-28-2008 03:35 AM

Firefox.

Opera is pretty good too.

djchameleon 01-28-2008 10:00 AM

Firefox....I used to use msn explorer before I started using firefox though....it was faster than IE for me....but I like firefox more

MURDER JUNKIE 01-28-2008 10:18 AM

My IE was corrupted due to my overwhelming porn use so now I'm down with the Fox

right-track 01-28-2008 11:13 AM

Firefox and IE...never use IE unless Firefox plays up or won't load stuff.
I doubt many use IE anymore.

jackhammer 01-28-2008 02:47 PM

Opera FTW.

ddp 01-28-2008 04:33 PM

Firefox

It is sad but most people still use IE (mostly because they do not know better)

The spell checker alone is worth the free download of Firefox.

CAPTAIN CAVEMAN 01-28-2008 06:33 PM

opera

Has anyone downloaded Firefox 4? They havent really changed that much, but the ability to pin certain tabs that will open automatically when FF starts is a great little tool (that may be on other browsers as well, idk). They've also rearranged the layout slightly, the opened tabs are now above the address bar, rather than below the bookmarks, which is to make the sites you use easier to see or something along those lines. The refresh button is on the end of the address bar now, and the home page at the far right of the address bar strip. If you have Windows 7 or Vista as well, the File/Edit/View etc buttons can all be hidden under one 'Firefox' button. A minor thing, like alot of the changes made really, but like all the other changes it saves on screen clutter.

I have Firefox 4, and I like it! Did you know, that to access the menu bar (File, etc buttons), just press ALT. They will go away when you press ALT again or when you click elsewhere on the screen.

bigbubba 05-01-2011 12:28 AM

Firefox anthing else is hopeless!

Yeah, I read their site with all the little tips lol. Luckily I'm still on good ol' XP so I dont even have the option of the firefox button.

Why is Google Chrome not a choice?

Was it even released when the poll was made? I tried Google chrome and found it to just be a copy of Firefox.

Chrome is a horrible browser and is not fit to be even mentioned!

that's why!

Zer0 05-01-2011 10:54 AM

Chrome is the best browser I've ever used, it's a lot faster and more reliable for me than Firefox and IE. I use Chrome all the time with Windows and its open-source companion Chromium with Ubuntu.

Chrome doesn't respect my privacy that's why I don't like it.

I agree that it WAS the fastest browser but now with FireFox4 they are pretty much equal.

Zer0 05-01-2011 11:00 AM

I've never had any serious privacy issues with Chrome. Firefox is great but it can be a bit too heavyweight, especially with a weaker connection. Chrome is nice and lightweight and suits me just fine.

djchameleon 05-01-2011 11:02 AM

The one pet peeve that I don't like about Chrome is that I couldn't find the option to have my cookies/info deleted every time I would close the browser. I had to do it manually and to get to the manual option it's so out of the way. Sometimes when I would do it, it would still preview like my bank website when I opened up a new browser and I never understood why so I said screw Chrome.

Chrysalis 05-01-2011 12:16 PM

I'm a Firefox user. I used to randomly switch between it and IE when I first installed it, but I ignore the latter now.

Actually, the reason I originally installed Firefox was that IE wouldn't load Flash content at all for me.

Zer0 05-01-2011 12:21 PM

The only use that IE is good for is downloading another browser :D
