There is no problem. Only cause and effect.

1. If you could live in any other era, or the future, which would it be and why?

Depends how wealthy I am. If I have lots of money then Victorian England.

2. Thinking back to your childhood, what is your happiest memory?

Primary school probably.

3. Name three good and three bad things about this era for you.

Good - How connected we can be thanks to tech, medicine and relative peace.
Bad - Lack of privacy thanks to tech, Tory rule and wokism.

4. If you could go back in time, what event in your past would you change?

I would probably just make the most of opportunities I had at the time and didn't appreciate enough.

5. If money were no object, what kind of watch would you like to own, or are watches gay?

Rolex Daytona.

6. What is, generally, your favourite time of day (or night) and why?

Probably last thing at night when I get into bed and I'm tired and ready to sleep.

Cheers for the questions Trolls.

1. If you could live in any other era, or the future, which would it be and why?

The future. Might be worse, but there's a chance there will be a lot of things that are better. The past sucked.

2. Thinking back to your childhood, what is your happiest memory?

I don't think I could choose just one. Probably any of the many times I got together with family.

3. Name three good and three bad things about this era for you.

Good:
Technology is improving
There's tons of great music available at my finger tips
My whiskey has improved over time

Bad:
Technology is improving, but human minds are not - at least not at the same rate
Government surveillance is becoming more common and acceptable
Young people are becoming more atomized and more isolated

4. If you could go back in time, what event in your past would you change?

There was one girl I got involved with that I shouldn't have. Would've saved me a lot of time and heartache.

5. If money were no object, what kind of watch would you like to own, or are watches gay?

Omega Seamaster. The only gay watch is a smart watch.

6. What is, generally, your favourite time of day (or night) and why?

Night. My brain is more active. It's more acceptable to drink at night, and occasionally I can even get some time for reflection.

1. If you could live in any other era, or the future, which would it be and why?
Probably the near past, maybe 10 or so years before I was born. No real reason, I just feel like it was easier for my family to be independent in that time, so I might have had a better time living on my own.

2. Thinking back to your childhood, what is your happiest memory?
Probably getting a ps2 for Christmas?

3. Name three good and three bad things about this era for you.
Good: Better mental health awareness, Musicians can now make and put out something without the trouble of a label or putting it in a store, The internet.

Bad: Crazy conspiracies being touted by mainstream personalities, Higher cost of living, Reactionary conservatism.

4. If you could go back in time, what event in your past would you change?
What I did/didn't do after I dropped out of school. I really wish I took that time to better myself more, get a specific education for a good career, maintain my friendships.

5. If money were no object, what kind of watch would you like to own, or are watches gay?
Something matte, minimalist, and sleek.

6. What is, generally, your favourite time of day (or night) and why?
Evening and Midnight. I like going on drives in the more rural parts of Maryland, especially when it's warmer out. I like the smells and atmosphere.

1. If you could live in any other era, or the future, which would it be and why?
I think Victorian England would be cool. As long as I was rich, that is. The chance to go to a Dickens reading?
2. Thinking back to your childhood, what is your happiest memory?
Think back to my childhood? I can barely think back to last week! Well I do remember proudly wheeling Karen as a baby in her pram, kind of showing her off to the street, so that is a nice memory. After three boys, we were all delighted to have a baby sister.
3. Name three good and three bad things about this era for you.
GOOD: The Internet, Kindles and a better appreciation that we have to do something to sort this planet out.
BAD: Crime on the rise, Covid and the fact that nobody is really doing something to sort this planet out.
4. If you could go back in time, what event in your past would you change?
Probably actually save money instead of spending it so I wouldn't be as poor as a church mouse on the day his wife left him, taking all the cheese. Also I would not make the call that landed me in a ten grand loss scam. :(
5. If money were no object, what kind of watch would you like to own, or are watches gay?
Maybe a Rolex. I don't know. I used to wear a watch all the time, but haven't for over 20 years now. It might take some getting used to.
6. What is, generally, your favourite time of day (or night) and why?
About 4 AM when I go to bed. Everything's real quiet... except for the nightly creak of the tread of the axe murderer coming up the stairs, but you get used to that.

Edit: Cuthbert, it might seem like I copied some of your answers but to be honest I posted this before reading this page. GMTA. Also, when's Jack back?

Cuthbert 03-21-2021 04:53 AM

You just have good taste and they aren't that similar anyway really.

Re Jack, nobody knows. I miss him.

1. If you could live in any other era, or the future, which would it be and why?
I’d like to be an adult either in the 1960s or 1970s particularly if I could be a studio musician.

2. Thinking back to your childhood, what is your happiest memory?
I can’t really remember much of my childhood, but little things meant a lot. My eldest sister and I still joke about how I hero worshipped her and she once took me along to the American Automobile Association for her driving test and bought me a vanilla milk shake afterward, which I thought was a tremendously big deal at the time.

3. Name three good and three bad things about this era for you.
Good: Internet (bringing people together with common interests and concerns; easy access to info); technological advances in all areas, particularly medical
Bad: Internet (the weird stuff, reduced attention spans, death of privacy); narcissism; climate change

4. If you could go back in time, what in your past would you change?
Marrying too young and inexperienced, and not going to college.

5. If money were no object, what kind of watch would you like to own, or are watches gay?
For everyday wear, I like wooden watches with colorful faces, like this:

For something fancier, a vintage art deco watch:

6. What is, generally, your favourite time of day (or night) and why?
Usually just before I go to sleep when the house is quiet and I can uninterruptedly reflect and dream.

It's Saturday here, so let's go.

This week's theme is NATURE AND THE ENVIRONMENT

1. What is your favourite natural feature, ie trees, mountains, lakes, whatever?

2. What do you think/believe is the most threatened single aspect of nature?

3. Tree-hugger, Stuff the Environment, Shrug or Do What I Can As Long As I Don't Have To Do Much?

4. What's your favourite tree and why?

5. Do you think logging helps or hinders the environment?

6. What in your opinion is the biggest "crime against nature" in the last, say, 20 years?

Sorry; coming up with a theme is hard enough, then you have to think of questions to fit that theme! My head hurts....
