The Saturday 6-Pack

Credit goes to MURDER JUNKIE for the thread idea.

Every Saturday the mods will submit 6 random questions to ask the members...'The Saturday 6-Pack'.
The idea is for members to get to know each other a bit better.
The questions will remain open to replies until the following Saturday, when a new batch of random questions will be posted.

This Saturdays 6-Pack are;

1) What was the best concert you have been to?

2) Are you old enough to vote?

3) If you could change one thing in your life what would it be?

4) What is your most prized possession?

5) What has been the highlight of your life so far?

6) What are you going to do on your next day off?

Quote this post and copy/paste the questions in your reply box.

right-track 02-09-2008 03:21 AM

1) What was the best concert you have been to?
Seeing The Rolling Stones and David Bowie live, were both real thrills for me.

2) Are you old enough to vote?
I'm old enough not to care!

3) If you could change one thing in your life what would it be?
I could give a flippant answer here, but I won't.
If I could, I'd change the way I look at the world and how it effects me.
I've never had that control.

4) What is your most prized possession?
Any one of several Northern Soul 45's.

5) What has been the highlight of your life so far?
The birth of my children and United winning the European Cup in 1999 would take some beating.

^ The only time in my life I've cried uncontrollable tears of joy.

6) What are you going to do on your next day off?
Fuck all!

Seltzer 02-09-2008 03:43 AM

1) What was the best concert you have been to?
My favourite concert ever was Herbie Hancock live with Vinnie Colaiuta, Nathan East and Lionel Loueke. Amon Amarth, Arcade Fire and Isis rate pretty highly too.

2) Are you old enough to vote?
Yep, but I've never bothered. We'll either end up with a male PM or a female PM who looks like a man. :D

3) If you could change one thing in your life what would it be?
My Dad dying in a car crash or my pectus excavatum condition (sunken chest).

4) What is your most prized possession?

My computer, then my Ibanez Silver Series bass.

5) What has been the highlight of your life so far?
Hmmm, I don't know. I tend to place more emphasis on periods of time in general rather than specific occasions. I live in some place at some time, then dwell on that memory and miss my life in that period.

Regarding fun highlights, it would have to be seeing a band of some sort live (see above answer). Regarding achievement highlights, it would have to be coming first in all my subjects except one in high school.

6) What are you going to do on your next day off?
I'm not working right now - gonna go back to uni soon.

MURDER JUNKIE 02-09-2008 07:44 AM

1) What was the best concert you have been to? - Probably The Ramones with Teenage Head in Kitchener back in the Day or The Rolling Stones Voodoo Lounge Tour

2) Are you old enough to vote? - Yes but I rarely seem to, yet I still have the stones to bitch about my government

3) If you could change one thing in your life what would it be? - I would have spent more time with my Grandparents before they passed on

4) What is your most prized possession? - It's a toss up between my TV, my Toyota, or my Keg Fridge :D

5) What has been the highlight of your life so far? - My wedding day and walking in the surf in Daytona Beach surrounded by so many stingrays that I couldn't see my feet

6) What are you going to do on your next day off? - Seeing as today is my day off, I guess my plan is to get some groceries and maybe stop for a pint and watch some footy

adidasss 02-09-2008 08:08 AM

Every day is my day off...:D

Not yet.... Two years (I think)

4) What is your most prized possession?

[MERIT] 02-09-2008 07:48 PM

1) What was the best concert you have been to?
It may not have been the best, but it was definitely my favorite, and my most memorable. I was HUGE into Fozzy back in the day, and out of the blue the announced a concert just like 2 hours away from my town. I got to see Fozzy, Motograter's farewell show, Drowning Pool, Fear Factory, and tons of other bands in an all day-concert. My friends and I made a road trip out of the event, rented a hotel room, and partied it up. Fozzy was my absolutely favorit band at the time, and I had a huge smile on my face for weeks after. Still my favorite concert of all time.

2) Are you old enough to vote?
Yep, I'm currently 20.

3) If you could change one thing in your life what would it be?
I would stop using drugs and do better in school. I'm currently on academic probabtion at my university, I also do alot of drugs. Marijuana, opiates, DXM, and I drink alot too. I would get my life in order. I realize it's all of my own doing and of my own decisions, but it's not as easy as it sounds to remedy the situation.

4) What is your most prized possession?
I'm going to say my laptop. It has my music, photos, songs, poems, and lets me connect to others (via the internet). It also has MusicBanter on it :)

5) What has been the highlight of your life so far?
It's hard to narrow down, so I'll make a small, in-no-particular-order list I suppose.

-First time having sex with the girl I loved (at the time)
-The afore-mentioned Fozzy concert
-The birth of my niece and nephew
-Getting accepted into college

6) What are you going to do on your next day off?
Most likely a 24-hour stretch of homework.

jibber 02-09-2008 09:12 PM

4) What is your most prized possession?
my photographs

5) What has been the highlight of your life so far?
Traveling in SE asia, mainly Cambodia

6) What are you going to do on your next day off?
SKI!!!!!!

tkpb938 02-09-2008 10:37 PM

1) What was the best concert you have been to?

2) Are you old enough to vote?
2 years away

3) If you could change one thing in your life what would it be?
I would want to not be so emo.

Lots of other things as well...
:(

4) What is your most prized possession?
I try not to place much value on material possesions.

5) What has been the highlight of your life so far?

3) If you could change one thing in your life what would it be?
I would like to be in a solid band, I guess. I jam with friends occasionally (and am doing so on Tuesday) but it's nothing concrete.

4) What is your most prized possession?
eh...my hard drive full of music. It's a crap thing to say, but if I'm honest...if I lost all the music I've accumulated throughout the last 4 or 5 years of me being obsessively into music, then I'd be well gutted.

5) What has been the highlight of your life so far?
Not sure, but I do know that the last year has been phenomenally better than any before, for many reasons.

6) What are you going to do on your next day off?
Look for a job, listen to music, go a run, play some drums.

That really is annoying - I suffer from the same problem! So many bands go on to Australia and skip NZ (cough Iron Maiden, cough Porcupine Tree). And if a band does decide to come, I have to catch a bus down to Auckland (2.5 hours, $25 NZ each way). Up until now (because I have contacts in Auck now), I had to find accommodation for the night ($30 NZ). So that's the price of the ticket plus $80 NZ ($63 US). Not to mention food costs.

ProggyMan 02-11-2008 10:24 PM
