i don't see why a serious crime should be punished in a manner different from any other. one person may deem murder more serious, one rape, one distrobution of narcotics... "justice" is subjective. those deemed dangerous to society should be removed from it (incarcarated or put into their own isolated self-sufficient community if ever possible) for the safety of its citizens which is fair to both parties i think, despite the fact that it doesnt appease the bloodlust of the common north american
