1. What's your favourite TV series?
As a child, Star Trek and Gilligan's Island. As an adult, I most liked the quirky Northern Exposure, especially Maggie and Joel. I don't watch TV now really at all, other than glimpses of the news or segments of 60 Minutes that interest me.

Beatles. I don't like most Rolling Stones songs, although I liked their fame enough to see them live.

3. Who would you most like to see perform live in your lifetime?
No one comes to mind other than Bach. I'd like to have seen him composing. I'm less interested in musicians performing than in the steps they took to get to the performance stage.

4. Will you go out this weekend, and if so where?
I did. I went to my parents' and we watched Julie & Julia and ate yummy take-out Mongolian vegan food while Julie & Julia boiled lobsters alive and stuffed dead ducks.

5. Where does your family come from originally?
My mom: Germany, England, and supposedly Welsh pirates
My dad: Switzerland and (before that) possibly Mongolia

6. Which do you value more, your vision or your hearing?
Vision, definitely. I like sound but I love sight and I don't mind silence.

I don't watch TV regularly, either, and I love Indian food, too (if it isn't too spicy)! :)

My typical request in Indian restaurants is, "Can you make it mild?" :o:
My favorite things to eat in Indian cuisine are papadums - the crackers made with lentil flour, cumin seeds and black pepper. Even though they're served as a side/snack, I'd rather have them than the whole meal! I think they're delicious and I love their texture.

he has some big rank in the Ming Dynasty and is some sort of deity

this I know cos the founder of Genting Highlands (Lim Goh Tong) is from the same village as my adoptee great grandfather and all people in the same village in China share common ancestry

Very unhealthy, but my weekend starts off with hash browns and bacon, and a fried egg if I'm in a good mood.

Ugh, this is kinda scary: we alternate between the Isles of Scilly and the Channel Islands, and this year we're going to the channel islands. Which frightens the **** out of me since I joined this forum.

Ian MacKellan, without doubt, possibly the most versatile and most enigmatic character ever to grace the screens. He looks so evil as Richard III, but so benevolent and generally awesome as Gandalf...

I've never made a really good one, the best is probably something really lame like deciding to hand in a £20 note I found. All the main decisions I have made a mess of.

I'm sorry to hear you had to be in Fresno. I have some cousins down there, and I wouldn't visit them there if they payed me. I haven't been since I was very little, but what I've heard about the place keeps me away...

I did not do anything that weekend, and I'm probably not doing anything this weekend. But I go out of the house every day, if for nothing else a cig. :D Usually go on a walk or something....

English, Dutch, German, Irish, and certainly a few others. I don't know what exactly my dad is/was.

Hearing. I wouldn't want to lose either, but I need to hear my music. And I could probably get by on audiobooks and catching the gist of tv shows/films by the sound effects/dialogue. Crossing my fingers against losing either though.

1. Shoot, I haven't woken up this Saturday yet. It's only 3am. So it's still my Friday night. But I usually wake up between noon and 3pm every day. Eariler today, Friday, I woke up at 12:45 pm. Pretty early for me.

Edit: Pulled an all nighter. So technically, I woke up on Friday at 12:45pm still. :D

2. Breakfast was 3 hot dogs with ketchup, horseradish mustard, and rooster sauce. And a cigarette.

3. Holiday... I don't get those. But I guess my life as of late has been a holiday since I left work at the gas station in California to try to move to pleasant Oregon, but not entirely succeeding in settling down and having to head over to Idaho for the duration of the winter. But in two weeks, I'm back off to Eugene, Oregon for round two of trying to find work and a place. Preferably I won't be sleeping in the truck for too long this time. I think we'll do better this time. Winter is hard times for finding carpentry work for my friend, but spring is the start of primetime. So, yeah, Eugene, Oregon. In two weeks.

4. Don't really get it often, but Cookie Dough. Used to be rainbow sherbet when I was younger. I'm sure it's still good, but I haven't had it as recently as cookie dough.

Nice call on Ian McKellen. What's up with the Channel Isles? As in, where/what are they and why are you preoccupied with them? Is bacon, hash browns, and eggs unhealthy? I guess when you fry things, the fat can get outta control, eh? What the hell is midnight mint? Sounds pretty good. Tell me it's like mint with dark chocolate or something...?
