No-one biting? All right then:
1. Giving as much, or as little detail as you feel comfortable doing, are/were your parents basically good or bad people? 2. What's your favourite cake? (I know, I know, but it's hard to keep coming up with fresh questions. Besides, we all love cake, right?) 3. If you saw someone, a stranger, male or female, being assaulted on the street, would you intervene? (Intervene includes calling the cops, shouting at the assailants, etc. You don't actually have to wade in.) 4. At what age, and level, did you finish your education (assuming you have)? 5. Generally, do you eat things that are bad for you, and if so, does it bother you that you do? 6. Overall, again in a general sense, are you environmentally aware, ie do you do anything to help save the planet, or do you not give a toss? |
1. Giving as much, or as little detail as you feel comfortable doing, are/were your parents basically good or bad people?
Both of them are good people, but my Dad especially is one of the nicest people in the World. Generally does anything to help friends and family. 2. What's your favourite cake? (I know, I know, but it's hard to keep coming up with fresh questions. Besides, we all love cake, right?) Not a huge cake guy. There's just better deserts. But I am partial to a lovely slice of carrot cake. 3. If you saw someone, a stranger, male or female, being assaulted on the street, would you intervene? (Intervene includes calling the cops, shouting at the assailants, etc. You don't actually have to wade in.) Depends on the situation of course. If I see two idiots arguing and starting to fight each other I'll keep on walking, even if one of them starts battering the other (if it went OTT I'd call the police). But I'd like to think I would help somebody who was being randomly assaulted to the best of my ability without putting myself into too much danger. 4. At what age, and level, did you finish your education (assuming you have)? Did two first years at University. So like 21? 5. Generally, do you eat things that are bad for you, and if so, does it bother you that you do? Yes and it doesn't bother me. I am a very active person and can go without junk food if I notice my belt feels a bit tight. 6. Overall, again in a general sense, are you environmentally aware, ie do you do anything to help save the planet, or do you not give a toss? I don't do much other than try and recycle properly. I cycle/walk to work, but that's not motivated by environmentalism. |
I could swear that we had the cake question just a few weeks ago. No criticism TH, it's hard to keep track, just an observation.

1. Giving as much, or as little detail as you feel comfortable doing, are/were your parents basically good or bad people?
Bad 2. What's your favourite cake? (I know, I know, but it's hard to keep coming up with fresh questions. Besides, we all love cake, right?) Chocolate 3. If you saw someone, a stranger, male or female, being assaulted on the street, would you intervene? (Intervene includes calling the cops, shouting at the assailants, etc. You don't actually have to wade in.) I’d join with the assailants. I surround myself with winners. 4. At what age, and level, did you finish your education (assuming you have)? I got my first degree straight out of high school but I’ve taken continuing education classes and certification classes on and off through the years. 5. Generally, do you eat things that are bad for you, and if so, does it bother you that you do? Yes. No. 6. Overall, again in a general sense, are you environmentally aware, ie do you do anything to help save the planet, or do you not give a toss? My carbon footprint is kept in check by poverty. And I have not and will not ever breed which is the kindest gift you can leave this planet: the end of your line of DNA. |

1. Giving as much, or as little detail as you feel comfortable doing, are/were your parents basically good or bad people? they’re both great people. my father would and has done everything to help me out.
2. What's your favourite cake? (I know, I know, but it's hard to keep coming up with fresh questions. Besides, we all love cake, right?) uhhhh, man. i dont think there’s a best type of cake because it really comes down to how well it’s made. if you’re a good baker i’ll probably love it regardless of flavor. 3. If you saw someone, a stranger, male or female, being assaulted on the street, would you intervene? (Intervene includes calling the cops, shouting at the assailants, etc. You don't actually have to wade in.) yeah probably. i wouldn’t try to intervene physically but i would definitely yell for help or call the police. 4. At what age, and level, did you finish your education (assuming you have)? i left university in december. 5. Generally, do you eat things that are bad for you, and if so, does it bother you that you do? yes and yes. but do i change that? newp. 6. Overall, again in a general sense, are you environmentally aware, ie do you do anything to help save the planet, or do you not give a toss? so here’s the thing. life and this world as we know it will end some day, so as far as prolonging the inevitable goes i suppose im somewhere in between. i recycle and try to be mindful but i do drink a ton of bottled water. i would drive a hybrid if i could afford it, partially for the enviroment but also just because it makes sense to convert. it’s the way of the future and why use gasoline when you have the option to uh... not? |

Also, yes: I should have said perhaps "Official education" or something. I'm aware you can keep taking courses and improving your mind/adding to your knowledge. But basically I mean by this question when did you finish school/college/uni? Quote:

1. Giving as much, or as little detail as you feel comfortable doing, are/were your parents basically good or bad people?
My parents are good people. Just good, normal people who live their own lives. They don't work for charity or anything, but they're hospitable, nice people who treat others with respect. I'd say I had a really good, safe childhood with caring parents. Don't know why I still turned out to be such a **** up  I don't have any excuses if you look at my background. 2. What's your favourite cake? (I know, I know, but it's hard to keep coming up with fresh questions. Besides, we all love cake, right?) Anything with raisins tends to be good. Lots of Danish pastries use copious amounts of cinnamon and I like that. Freshly baked kanelsnegle ("cinnamon snails") are amazing if you've got some good coffee to go along with them. https://anima.dk/sites/default/files/img_5017_0.jpg 3. If you saw someone, a stranger, male or female, being assaulted on the street, would you intervene? (Intervene includes calling the cops, shouting at the assailants, etc. You don't actually have to wade in.) I don't know if I would, but I hope I would. I have yet to find out if I'm really a coward, but I think that I should step in if it did happen. Of course, if I saw no way it would endanger me at all, then why wouldn't I call the cops? I'd have to feel convinced it was necessary, perhaps. I wouldn't do anything if I decide it's just a few morons fighting it out. 4. At what age, and level, did you finish your education (assuming you have)? I'd been jumping between various things for years, but at age 30 I finally had a candidate's degree in "Interactive Digital Media". I'm not sure what a candidate degree is in English, if it's the same system or whatever... But it's a University thing. Took 5 years. Was a mix of IT and the humanities. 5. Generally, do you eat things that are bad for you, and if so, does it bother you that you do? I know I shouldn't but I eat tonnes of junk. I'm better at eating healthy now than I was some years ago, but I still eat far too much stuff that's no doubt bad for me. I'm not trying to live until I'm a 100 or anything. 6. Overall, again in a general sense, are you environmentally aware, ie do you do anything to help save the planet, or do you not give a toss?[/QUOTE] I do give a damn, but it seems hopeless sometimes. I recycle and only have lights on in the room I'm in, etc. but it's not like that's gonna save the planet. It's more the principle of it. |
