1. How has the COVID-19 pandemic changed your life for the better? How about for the worse?
Are you ****ing god damn kidding me? I have one friend who I haven't seen in months but because everywhere else is closed and we have mad coupons and deals it's like torture every day for months. I go into work and get hit with a neverending line for eight hours a day every single day and I want to stab them all in the throat and watch them bleed out. 2. To what degree do you use social media? If you do use it, do you consider a net positive to your life? I use here and only here and it's the majority of my human contact now that work is just a mindless meatgrinder. 3. What is one problem you foresee being solved in the next 50 years? That's like asking how much younger do you think you'll be in 50 years. 4. You are forced to go into armed combat with an intelligent orangutan that knows jiu-jitsu - you can bring one weapon (or object) that is not a firearm - what do you bring? A crossbow. 5. You're going to a party with all the cool kids - you want to show them how cool you are - what beverage do you bring to the party to share? Jim Jones Kool-Aid 6. Have you ever read a book that changed your life? If so, what book was it? The Star Wars expanded universe novels were pretty massive for me when I was a teenager. |
1. How has the COVID-19 pandemic changed your life for the better? How about for the worse?
Lost a job I've been wanting to leave for a while. Lost a few aquaintances/friends to Covid. Really bad year, socially. 2. To what degree do you use social media? If you do use it, do you consider a net positive to your life? Scant usage. Neutral. 3. What is one problem you foresee being solved in the next 50 years? Personally - finally doing what I love to do for a living. Society - nothing. People are in love with problems. They only want to solve them, not end them. One problem is almost always replaced by another. 4. You are forced to go into armed combat with an intelligent orangutan that knows jiu-jitsu - you can bring one weapon (or object) that is not a firearm - what do you bring? Glass of water to wake my silly ass up from the dream. 5. You're going to a party with all the cool kids - you want to show them how cool you are - what beverage do you bring to the party to share? Southern Comfort. And hope to get laid with someone I actually like. 6. Have you ever read a book that changed your life? If so, what book was it? Notes From Underground, Fyodor Dostoevsky Before I read it I had no idea people felt that deeply and were as simultaneously as clueless about those feelings in others. And that there was still hope of love. |

I for one quite like waiters/waitresses wearing masks. You ever had that experience where a waiter/waitress would bring you your food, set it down on the table and then start talking while their spittle just gets spread all over the fresh food that was just laid in front of you? Quote:
Are you objectifying Batty? If so, you have been admonished. |
1. How has the COVID-19 pandemic changed your life for the better? How about for the worse?
I love being home with my son and not having to go to the office. However, working remotely has become a bit overwhelming (I report to over 20 people and their demands have increased). Feeling very anxious and having sleep problems. 2. To what degree do you use social media? If you do use it, do you consider a net positive to your life? Hardly at all – I just don’t have the time to keep up. MB of course, and just texting/phone with family and friends. 3. What is one problem you foresee being solved in the next 50 years? With ongoing advances in technology and research I think certain types of cancers will be eradicated. 4. You are forced to go into armed combat with an intelligent orangutan that knows jiu-jitsu - you can bring one weapon (or object) that is not a firearm - what do you bring? An extra-extra-long sword  5. You're going to a party with all the cool kids - you want to show them how cool you are - what beverage do you bring to the party to share? Absinthe drip cocktails with those beautiful glasses and spoons. 6. Have you ever read a book that changed your life? If so, what book was it? Reading my father’s old copy of The Bhagavad-Gita (Swami Prabhavananda and Christopher Isherwood translation) as a young teen. |

1. How has the COVID-19 pandemic changed your life for the better? How about for the worse?
For the better: being put in a situation of re-evaluation and analysis of everyday life that is easily taken for granted coupled with a certain amount of freedom to really devote to creative projects at longer stretches makes me happy and keeps me away from the constant doomscrolling that would probably arise if I weren’t so busy. The worst personal aspects are the ones dealing with the anxiety centered around the unknowns concerning the virus and the ways it’s not being handled. 2. To what degree do you use social media? If you do use it, do you consider a net positive to your life? I’m not on any of the big ones. I’ve always liked specific subject forums since the 90s and the fact that I’m on this one is a bit of an anomaly. Creative sharing is important to me. 3. What is one problem you foresee being solved in the next 50 years? I’m hoping that it’ll be Alzheimer's. Also, I think it would be nice to see Alzheimer's eradicated. 4. You are forced to go into armed combat with an intelligent orangutan that knows jiu-jitsu - you can bring one weapon (or object) that is not a firearm - what do you bring? A platina wedge-slicing durian launcher. 5. You're going to a party with all the cool kids - you want to show them how cool you are - what beverage do you bring to the party to share? I’d never pretend that I’m “cool.” 6. Have you ever read a book that changed your life? If so, what book was it? Before reading Frown’s answer, I immediately thought Cage‘s Silence as well. I still have my first well-worn and personally addressed to me hardback copy of it that I still cherish. Also, a book that I’ve used for nearly 50 years that has the same amount of gravitas for me that the I-Ching had for Cage is Shepherd's Glossary of Graphic Signs and Symbols. |
1. Who do you resemble more, your mother or father?
2. Can you imitate anyone/anything? (mega bonus points for voice recording proof) 3. You're stuck on a desert island with all MB members and one person only is appointed the task of getting you all home safely. Who do you choose? 4. Have you ever been kicked out of a bar/nightclub/restaurant etc. and if so, why? 5. Do you own a skateboard? (and do you use it) 6. If everyone could have wings like those of any existing animal, what kind of wings would you choose? |
1. Who do you resemble more, your mother or father?
I've met my dad once so I dunno. 2. Can you imitate anyone/anything? (mega bonus points for voice recording proof) I'm terrible at impressions. 3. You're stuck on a desert island with all MB members and one person only is appointed the task of getting you all home safely. Who do you choose? Plankton is the only one I'd assume would have the Man Knowledge to construct a raft. 4. Have you ever been kicked out of a bar/nightclub/restaurant etc. and if so, why? Once when me and some buddies were at a bar there was this punching bag punch measuring game and this random ******* lost to my friend and apparently he was known to show up at the bar specifically to get drunk and start fights so it got real stupid and loud and we all got thrown out, after which the dude immediately begged us not to kick his ass. Was fun. 5. Do you own a skateboard? (and do you use it) No. 6. If everyone could have wings like those of any existing animal, what kind of wings would you choose? Bat wings, duh. They're objectively the coolest form of wing. |
