yeah my parents are like that to but I really wanted them to respect me (I am not saying yours don't) but my brother never asked for money and I can see how much my parents respect him for it.
So I wanted to do the same I pay for my own house and for school. And it feels great well others rely on there parents or OSAP (student loans) I feel great knowing that I will never have any debt

ya, its great i realy respect people who work hard to get where they are. My main reason i never worked is sports, i am big into baseball now because i had to choose between that and hockey a couple years ago,was into both heavily. and really my family always travels so holding down a job was never really practicle i guess in a sense.

Understandable about always moving but being big in sports is kind of lame. I was huge into sports but I always made time to work and I still do

I come from a family where i dont really need to work at all, and i travel all the time for both sports and pleasure. So my parents never really forced me to get a job when i was younger, so i just had a normal, fun childhood (not saying you cant have a good childhood working or anything like that) and now i am focusing on school over the last year or so, so i choose not to work. Maybe because of this i will lack skills or something else when it comes time to go into the work world. i wouldent change it for anything, because when i am 30+ been work in the same job for however long, i think i will look back on this time and remember it.

I really do see your point and I respect you as much as I would if you had a job and I think we both make some really good points here which is nice.

I also think its good for the soul to have a **** job when your younger it makes you have alot more respect for people and makes you a better customer and you know the value of the dollar

All I have to say about this is don't grow up faster than you have to. If you can get away with not working and enjoy life a little more, DO IT.

EDIT: If you enjoy work, do that, but if you don't...
