Really? I have 2 frineds who have both worked at Hy-Vee (the grocery store) under a union for like 3 years, and they both love it.

if you do decide to work at a restaruant you can make really good money and not have to work all that much. i work 3 to 4 nights a week and for about 5 hours a night. it pays all my bills. but it can be super stressful. people are just rude. and i am soooo not a people person, but it's easy to fake being nice.

I would recommend anybody to get a union job, but not like the grocery baggers of america. If you get into a stong union at a young age, the pension is awsome. Like electician union, great pay, cool job oppotunities, great pension, and every benefit you could need. but yes there are unions that suck.
