Then you should qualify for welfare. Your country is a bit messed up. We have people here that are on welfare and have jobs but I don't think they are full time. They are what we call the working poor. Barely getting by and still have to rely on Welfare.

If you have kids here welfare assists you, but if you're single you're on your own. I'm "the working, getting by but could be better", but then again if i stopped pouring money into cars i'd probably be better off lol

Cars is an expensive hobby lol.

Pfft then you shouldn't complain about Dr fees then especially in a system where it seems to benefit the ones who are down on their luck and unemployed.

If you, have a high blood pressure, you should get a medication for it. I have it too and it runs in my family. My mother has and my grandparents have too and many of my relatives have died because high bp has caused problems.
So nowadays when it is possible, get it. You cannot loose. Me, I'm pretty Yong person, but I have always had high blood pressure and has caused many problem you may not even know are because of it.
For example, my pulse has always been out of rhythm, especially when I'm scared or something (and because a mild panic disorder or whatever,it has happened quite often). But anyway, you should go to see a doctor. After all, your health is pretty important for you and also (I don't know how old you are but anyway) if you do not do it now, the problem just grows bigger and bigger when you get older.

Yeah I know, but $65 is pretty steep given the time you're in there. Don't whatever you do get me started on dental fees lol. That's expensive for everyone irrespective of employment status

I take half an aspirin a day to thin out my blood as it's pretty thick and tarry like, but aside from that little else

All I know is that medication helped me a lot.

You guys pay to see docs there? I thought you had a universal system - is it more like the US then?

Trollheart 12-28-2013 09:11 AM

It's the same here. Unless you have a medical card, you'll pay 50/60/70 Euro to just see a doctor. Even if you DO have a m/c you're expected to shell out 2.50 per ITEM for any prescriptions. I get six/eight items per month for my sis, so with her card that's over a tenner a month, just for, well, nothing. Into the hands of the govt I guess. Of course, it would be much more had she not got the card, but still, it sucks. Used to be I'd fish in my pocket for change for the prescription fees, now I'm handing over a tenner and getting nothing back (or adding to it) or even using my credit card!
