I work in a thrift store. It's probably the coolest job I've ever had (aside from the time I spent in copy centers doing copy jobs, graphic design, typesetting and business cards - THAT was cool but the pay was terrible). The best thing about my store is that we try to operate just like any other mainstream retailer but we have a lot of freedom. Our customers are allowed to haggle and we're allowed to spend several minutes talking to them about anything. It's really such a kind environment.

We definitely get the crazies every day, but there's also a LOT of really cool people that shop with us.

post up on the Craigslists for 2 of the days. Actually a week. Pretty much every other week.

They never post them. It's on a moderator queue, which means a mod has to approve a post in order for it to be posted. There's just no point in posting them, so they never get seen at all.

I'm tired of having to clean piss off the toilet seats in the ladies' room at work. Several times a day.

SF, s'a small city. five or so by the five or so miles, closing in on a million people were I not mistaken. so. competition for housing? unbelievable. housing prices because of said competition? unbelievable. tryna find a place that accepts alcoholics with what might as well be service animals cuz i'd probably drown in a pool of my own slitted-wrist blood were I without Corona, my Angel of a dog? seemingly impossible. stays with the mom, my dog she still does. til i stop the drinking and make a genuine attempt at therapy.... pfffffft. Therapy. LOAD ME UP ON THEM MOOD STABILIZERS THAT WAY I FEEL LIEK A ZOMBIE AND SLEEP EVEN LESS. Mother****in psychiatrists and their goddamn, unearthly, mother****ing pills bros and brogrrrrls. I'd die where I stand/moreorlesslaydown before I take them mother****ers ever the mother-**** again.
