Is this why you're always miserable? Sounds like they're complimenting you and all you can do is bitch? Aren't you the one who said you were upset people didn't want to be around you? Does this comment and attitude not prove that you're not exactly making the effort? Why get upset about this, why not take it as the compliment it is and if you don't want to play in public you don't have to (nearly said play in pubic there!) but I don't see why you're seeing it as a negative rather than a positive thing.

Remember, whatever your intention, anything you put up on the internet is fair game, so saying "I did it for me not them" doesn't really cut it.

I've lost three debate rounds this year, and they've all been judged by the same person. And all for bull**** reasons. ("You talked too fast. I could understand it, but some people might not be able to.")

You're lucky to even have a debating team at your school.

That's not a bullsh*t reason. If you plan on having some sort of career where that is a necessary skill that is an excellent piece of constructive criticism that you should take with you. People are hard enough to convince with a solid argument, if you just sound like a rambling idiot(solid argument or not) you are not going to change anyone's mind. You'll be lucky to hold their attention long enough to even begin developing your argument.

But if you watch national debate championships, they all talk much faster even than I do. I don't sound like a rambling idiot, and if I did the issue wouldn't be my speed. The way the event works is it rewards people who talk faster. We literally won every argument in the round, and the opposing team pretty much conceded all of them. Her entire RFD was what I said and "their arguments were stronger" with no explanation. It's fine to drop us, but if you're going to, you should have an actual reason.

^ I'm fairly sure they think you're brilliant and are trying to pay you a compliment. They will be saying that because they want to see you perform more often.

If I can see the color of your eyes in my rear view mirror, your following a bit too close. Not cool soccer mom, not cool at all. Looks like little Billy's gonna be late for practice, cuz I'm gonna slow it up a bit just to piss you off.

One of my favorite moments of hanging out with one of my friends was when some guy was tailgating him right before we went into a tunnel, and he slowed down to 15 mph the whole way through. Probably took the better part of five minutes to get through that tunnel.
