future in laws' cat has gone missing just days before we were supposed to be babysitting him for the weekend.

I love that cat so much. I'm so busted up about the fact that he might not actually come home this time. He's been gone since yesterday morning.

I'm so filled with sadness.... :(

he's 15 years old. They've looked everywhere.

my better half's father is sitting downstairs in his bedroom crying. (We went to visit them tonight to see if we could find him and his father was inconsolable.)

I never have either but to be honest I have a tiny bit of resentment toward anyone who lets their animals run loose... it's just asking for trouble. It really is.
