Good conversation comes with practice, I used to be bad at it as well. Also a lot of people feel awkward around your age so hopefully that will pass as well.

Being introverted isn't a bad thing and all the other things you can work on if you want.

Yeah, I guess it will. Thanks for replying, both of you. I was writing it mostly to get it out of my head and into a more appropriate place, like a bitch box, but it's nice to know that someone actually took a moment to read it and answer.

I know the internet is different from real life, but you seem to be exceptionally gifted in conversation from my experiences. You have a way of drawing people out, and you seem sincerely interested in them. Maybe you need to apply those skills more in real life. Feel free to shoot me a PM if you feel the need to talk to someone your own age; my inbox is always open to you.

Thanks, man. Your inbox is not safe from my messages. Also, I feel that I express myself more efficiently in writing than I do verbally. Maybe, as you say, I can apply that to verbal conversation. Can't be impossible or anything.

When I was leaving my job I had to give the traditional dreaded speech. I fumbled all over the place, making a total fool of myself. I had nothing ready. Later, before I left the office for the last time, I wrote an entertaining, clever and witty (and much more coherent) goodbye which everyone thought was hilarious.

The point? Some people just express themselves better through writing than speech, though there's no reason you can't do both. FTR, I also think you have a great grasp of the English language, a great manner and a superb sense of humour, so don't let it get you down. We can't all be perfect like me. ;)

Thanks, man. Glad to hear that even cool people struggle with this. :)
