You shouldn't be so hard on people. That whistling ringtone is built into every Samsung Galaxy. I know, because it's on mine. I changed it, not because I didn't like it, but because every time anyone sitting near me on the bus got a text I was checking to see was it me. So I changed it to Bender saying "I've got mail!"
But I've used some pretty annoying sounds over the years myself. Mind you, my favourite for a long time was Homer saying "Here are your messages..." |
My phone is always on vibrate. I hate hearing other peoples' phones and I don't want to contribute to that annoyingness.

My ringtone is a short version of the green hornet theme song and i luv it.
Sometimes when ppl call me i let it linger for awhile just to hear it.. |
Mine was always the loudest possible till WD and the advent of Fidlar!;)

anyone here ever been in a position where they had to decide whether to pull the plug or keep someone on life support?
What decision did you make and how did you come to this decision? Would very much appreciate honest responses, thanks |
Wow. Um, no but I think a lot of it comes down to whether you're essentially keeping the person alive to avoid the loss of them, or the guilt about having to do it, or whether they actually have no quality of life left. It's a ridiculously tough decision, one I hope never have to have to make. The only thing that even comes close is when I had to decide to have my cats put to sleep. Then, I had to think about the animal: was I just keeping her alive for me, and avoiding the pain, or did I think she had a chance of any sort of a life? When I really faced that decision I saw I was being selfish and decided to end her suffering.
Doesn't compare to a human life of course, but that (thankfully) is the only experience I have of having to make this sort of decision. If you're faced with it Sparky I would definitely discuss it with close friends/family, weigh up the pros and cons. You don't want to regret it later. Did the person in turn make a will, and did they stipulate what they wanted in this instance? Or is that just the dumbest question ever? Anyway sorry I can't be of more help, maybe others can. But I wish you strength in making the correct decision, whatever it may turn out to be. |
****!!! I felt like getting out of the house, so I biked up to the library with my computer to use the wi-fi, and now my mouse touchpad is acting up like a bitch. I'm praying that it's somehow the library's internet connection that's messing it up and I didn't damage it by carrying it around in my bookbag while riding my bike. If so then I'm going to have to shell out for a real mouse. Not that I wouldn't totally love one over a ****ty laptop touchpad, but I'm ****ing broke.
