I've never personally been in that situation but I've had friends that have had to do it.
Really take your emotions out of the situation as much as you can. It's a matter of quality of life for the person on life support. It wil more then likely be the hardest thing you'll ever have tl do with your life. But it really is a situation that is all about the person on the machine. Asmuch as it feels like pulling the plug and letting them go is either giving up on the one you love, or murderous. It's an act of love, not stranding them in a limbo if you will.
On the other hand if they actually have a fighting chance. And you have fight in you to give, and are prepared to deal with the reality of what goes with that. Then fight. It is again a question of quality of their life.
If you need an ear to listen or a shoulder to lean on you know where my pm box is.
I'm so sorry for your struggles love .
