This girl I was dating is now going to a Swans show, one that I'm going to and stupidly said so via facebook. I told her about Swans when I first started talking to her, so I'm a bit annoyed to say the least. I was hoping for a good time in my own world without the worry of personal relationships, work, social anxieties, and just have a few drinks and have fun. Why can't we all just not impose on each others' lives? Is that so much to ask for?

It's not your show. It's Swans. Unless you're my ex-wife, then I don't really give a **** about whether or not someone I was dating is going too. I'm going to see ****ing Swans. Suck it up.

Gotta agree with this advice. Not really your show. She's as worthy of seeing Swans as you are. Just because she's your ex doesn't mean that she doesn't like the band, too. Plus, you got her into Swans and now she's seeing them! This should be a victory for you or something.
