I told my mom and her girlfriend I'm questioning my gender the other night. Wound up being really awesome timing because they're considering breaking up and that's kind of a big deal after 2 years. Annie, my mom's GF, is still having problems with alcoholism and is verbally abusive. My mom's emotionally abusive and neglectful at times towards her. I feel like it's kind of selfish but I'm sick of feeling apprehensive about talking to my family about what's going on with me when so much is going on with them. I have never been able to open up with them without feeling guilty. Instead I've always had to be a consoling pillar. Ugh. On a more positive not I hung out with my coworkers after getting stoned, sleeping through most of their performances (they're musicians), and showing up late. I missed the best of it but it was a good and inspiring night.
