He's a fervent Scientologist and requires all of his band members to subscribe to that doctrine to extremely strict degrees. Scott Henderson was his guitarist for a short while and somewhere out on the web is a hilarious and scathing interview he gave after leaving the band. Actually is may have been taken down over fear of reprisals since I can't find it anywhere.
