tl;dr: **** Amazon up the hole with something very sharp.

They tell you how long it will take for each seller before you even add it to your cart. If you didn't notice then you're a retard. And Amazon don't ship everything themselves. They have plenty of third-party sellers who they're not even really associated with who just sell through their site, so that doesn't sound like Amazon's fault.

Are you sleeping with Amazon?

I wanted to delete my Steam account today, but it turns out to not be an easy thing. You have to write support. Then wait for a reply. Then they tell me that I need to give them the Steam Key that the account was activated with originally, as if I could possibly remember that. ****ing lol.

Anyway, why do I want to kill my Steam account? Just because I virtually NEVER use it and never will again. Recently, I've been sent these messages that some ******* has been accessing my account from somewhere in Britain, and I don't want anyone to siphon any details about my connected email account, passwords I like to use, etc. So, I changed the Steam password to some gobbledy**** today. Might even connect it to an email account made just for the purpose, just to spite Steam and leave it stranded.

It's no biggie, I know. It's just that it annoys me that they won't let me cut this nuisance/theoretical security liability off 100%. Wankers.

I wish. Their CEO is now apparently the richest person on earth.

I've been getting those emails too, but I haven't used a steam account in maybe 6-7 years that I can remember. I just deleted those thinking it was a phishing scam. Rut roh for you. You may have inadvertently fell into their stupid little trap.

Always check postage before you click buy. Some sellers take outlandish rates, especially if sending outside of the UK. I mostly buy music on Amazon and I tend to use a few favorite sellers that I trust.

No it's legit allright. I'm only dealing with steam directly through the official web page. All emails confirmed sent from them.

Plankton 02-19-2018 01:59 PM

I just get inundated with a lot of crap like that from other people here at work who forward that kind of **** to me all the time asking if it's legit, and 99.9% of the time it's not, so I'm a little trigger happy. I'll have to look into it more in depth and straighten it out. thx

I'm a cheap guy. Plus they're the only ****s who would ship to this **** hole.
To answer Bat's claim, yes they did give me a "delivery date" but it was between two dates, and I naturally assumed it would be closer to the sooner than the later date, given that it's the ****ing UK not Bosnia or Chad it's coming from.

Rookie mistake. Those long waittimes are to cover the company's ass if the workers decide to sit on your order and wank for a few extra days.
