No, but are we going to pretend that Converse doesn't target the punk crowd?
There's definitely companies out there that make patches for the cuts. Definitely companies the design jackets pre DIYed for you.
Companies that have built their format off of punk culture and target that audience.
Argue that it's not 'real punk' all you want but the moment you shallowly self identify as something like that you're just embracing a brand as a consumer to be sold things. Even if your interest is just in music. I mean, at the end of the day it's kind of cool because it makes it easier for things you enjoy to come to you, but when it becomes a crutch for your identity you end up becoming a mindless cliche consumer with no individuality. I'm not even saying that's you, I'm just stating a fact that you need to come to terms with.
