Holy **** I hate Hotmail. I only have one Hotmail account left but it's connected to a lot of stuff so I maintain it and I just tried to login and it asked me if my contact email was still correct and since it's one of my dead Hotmail accounts I tried to say no so I could change the contact email and do you know what Hotmail ****ing did after asking for my password?

IT ****ING ASKED ME TO VERIFY MY ACCOUNT BY SENDING AN EMAIL TO THE DEAD CONTACT EMAIL! WTF GOD DAMN ****ING STUPID **** IS THIS?! NOW I HAVE TO GO THROUGH EMAIL ACCOUNT RETRIEVAL HELL FOR NO GOD DAMN ****ING REASON! **** YOU, HOTMAIL! EAT **** AND DIE!

It did give me a good laugh though.

Dude, take your sh*tty common ass Beatles records and go somewhere else I don't have time for this.

I mean, discogs is free, and all you have to do is look and spend two minutes to find out if it's worth something. You don't even have to be smart to find this stuff out, he just sounds like a lazy *******.

I get there's hundreds of pressings, but aren't there catalog numbers that will help narrow it down? I'm sure there's dedicated groups online that also help with that as well. For years I've of heard tales of mean, clueless people coming into stores looking to get rid of their Beatles records thinking they're worth a lot. Then again, I'm not a Beatles fan.

Cat#'s are associated with the country of release for a particular label. For example, Dark Side of the Moon Cat# is SMAS-11163 for the US pressing on Harvest. That number alone however spans decades of reissues and represses. You have so many variants with these albums from Pink Floyd or the Beatles that using a Cat# alone yields you pretty much nothing. Pressing plant info which is found in the matrix numbers, coupled with Cover and Label changes throughout the years of reissuing the album is used to determine what "pressing" you have.

Sometimes the difference between an album made in 1968 and an album made in 1973, five years later, is an extra number or letter in the deadwax or an added address on the back corner of a sleeve.

I have researched THOUSANDS of Beatles records over the years and still consider myself a novice at recognizing what is what by eye. You could honestly have a full scale college course of information on identifying Beatles records.

Records are not like books which have unique ISBN numbers. Records are f*cking stupid. Sh*t, even barcodes are unchanged from reissue to reissue.

So you'd like to institute a "No ****ing Beatles Records" rule but your dick is hard for that one find that's gonna pay for a new car?

I just found out something awful. My mom had Minor Threat's Filler 7" at one point in her life. Holy ****, ouch. The prices those pressings go for.

Getting really frustrated with some of my customers. They expect me to run this shop according to their wants and desires and I just can not do that. It's upsetting because these are nice dudes who spend money here and ask me hold things, save things for them, put out the stuff they like on their days off, sell things I am saving strategically for other time to them early, and overall treat them like a special snowflake.

Just had a very nice dude ask me to sell him a batch of Iron Maiden records he spotted behind the counter to him. I told him I have plans for those. They'll be available this weekend and he asked me to hold them for him. I politely told him I can't do this. I can't run the shop like this and he has to understand. He was upset. I could tell.

I know OH or Bats is gunna tell me "F*CK THOSE GUYS. THEY CAN LIKE IT OR GET OUT" but these are good customers. I just can't run this shop on their schedules. It's impossible and I'm getting sick and tired of it.
