I had to reinstall windows for the gazillionth time. Which means another do-over after I've spent the past few months tweaking it to my needs.

What happened?

I have a trojan that won't go away.
Every time I delete it the bastard keeps making a backup.

I fucked them up badly. My guess is that it had something to do with the crack I installed to make Soulseek work properly. After a short while, the computer seemed to be really slow, taking like half a minute to open up programs...then various programs started telling me about some socket being faulty, utorrent started doing weird shit, I wasn't connectable. Then I restarted it and couldn't go on line at all. It took two days to get it all working properly. I also ran a spyware check and found some stuff, but deleting it didn't seem to help. :( That's windows for ya.

About that trojan of yours, you should google it, that's how I got rid of the tricky ones.

You should have backed up. ^

I did a google search...it's a Trojan Lop.Ax.

AVG anti virus shows a System32 change...I think it may be infected.
The trojan that keeps recurring after I delete it, won't budge.
I even turned off the 'system restore' and rebooted, then ran a full virus scan successfully and I even got 'spybot search & destroy' to get rid of a load of spyware. After rebooting and switching the system restore back on and another full scan...it popped up again. :(

How does one do backups? Luckily, it wasn't a hardware failure so I didn't loose any data, but I still had to reinstall all my stuff because I installed the W. on another partition (I wanted to format the C: drive but couldn't because windows setup was using it and a funny thing happened, my keyboard doesn't seem to be working outside of windows, so when the W. installation CD asked to press any key to boot from it I couldn't...I wonder what that's about).

It doesn't say how to get rid of it?

How does it affect your computer, can you live with it?

Windows XP Backup Made Easy
Do it when you are happy with all your tweakings.

I'll find a way of shifting it, even if I have to pay for someone to remove it from the registry (won't mess with them myself).
At the moment it's just a pain in the arse. I have to keep deleting or healing the damn things.
Zone alarm is set not to let anything out of my PC that's private.

My Problem With Loser-Is not that he listens to bad music. Is not that he doesn't like real emo. It's that he's so stubborn and indirectly calls everyone in the emo forum completely wrong over and over and over. That's my only problem. He calls a lot of people close minded but he isn't even open to the facts of real emo progression.

I just thought it should be stated what the real problem is.

Those are all good bands to start on.

I just listened to all of them. Thanks man I think I found a new favorite band in Circle Takes The Square.

Right

Yeah but that was a lie, so the sarcastic smiley is void.

I was up all last night doing a prank for my radio station where we covered the entire office with orange paper with the phrase "lava, lol" on every single one. I went back to my place to sleep for 2 hours, shower, and go to see the first reactions of people at 9 AM.
I woke up at 11 AM because my alarm never went off. It took for 5 hours to do all of that, and I missed the fruits of my labor, which were apparently amazing. So I smashed my clock against the wall, which woke up my roommate who God bless him, was trying his damndest to not laugh. My clock is now shattered across my floor, so I have no way to wake up tomorrow, but damn it made me feel better.

Right

I liked Loser when he first showed up because in comparison to gottaSCREM, he was at least willing to try and listen to other stuff and to learn. In fact I complimented him after he posted that because he was willing to be educated. Apparently he lost that and something got into his head that he's the only one right in the world, to the point where he now thinks that there is a great conspiracy just to fuck with him.
An idea, if every single person on the site tells you you're wrong, you might want to consider the possibilty, that just maybe, you could be slightly off.
Or he knows he's wrong and he's just been screwing with us just to push our buttons.

.....*giggle*
