I wouldn't go that far. Maybe they were picked on in high school, maybe they work their daily stress out on people they will never see, or maybe they really are just ass holes. I don't think you can really pin it down.

I myself sometimes really enjoy pointing out someone's ignorance when I've had a bad day...I hold music very dear, so when I have the opportunity to flout my knowledge it makes me feel better. I know it's bad, but it's human nature.

Welcome to MB btw.

You're right I'm new to this whole online forum thing and I don't think I fully get it yet. I've been trying to contribute and get to know people, but it's not very easy.
Thank you for the welcome - I appreciate it.

& duga, you're right there could be any number of reasons for rudeness. and I know I've been mean as well. It happens. I just wish everyone were nice... is that a crazy wish?

duga 04-15-2010 10:04 PM

Not at all. I wish people would use the same courtesy on the net as in real life, but that is a naive hope.

gogojessicat 04-15-2010 10:07 PM

yeah but real life has plenty of douche bags too. :(

Oh and my journalism teacher is an idiot and here's the proof:

"There are more errors in Wikipedia than in the Encyclopedia Brittannica?" True or False

I marked true and I got the question wrong...

Haha wut. What kind of a question is that anyway? When I took journalism we had to study crap like the theory of the fourth estate and freedom of the press and Web 2.0, etc etc. Idiot indeed! Ask him why you got it wrong, I want to know now!

I don't have enough credits and being an English major is getting me nowhere and I'm stressed and just want to sleep.

After being in a similar situation, I'd say (although it sounds corny) to definently persue something you love. Nowadays im a working man, and not absolutely loving what I do. I completely wish I would have gone back and taken the right path to be doing something I love and just happen to make a living doing so. This, currently, is a bit of the mind turmoil I'm in. Growing up has its downs.

Not everyone knows what they like/love/would like to be doing for the rest of their life...;)
