From what I read, this WEP (Work Experience Program) is exclusive to New York City... so if it's that much of an issue, you can relocate to one of the other 49 states that offer an oppurtunity to abuse the system the way you see fit.

If it was just affecting me then sure I'd have no problem moving. I'm not currently on WEP but I'm part of a community group that fights for issues that affect low to moderate income community members and this is one of the issues we have been dealing with lately. Our group is going to D.C. near the end of May to bring this issue to their attention. I'm not going specifically because on the same day we are also supposed to be shutting down City Hall in my city so I have to deal with that big action.

Why is it whenever I order something online I tick the little box that says 'Please do not send me emails on further services & special offers' they respect that wish for 2 whole weeks before sending them anyway.

And why do I keep getting emails from Itunes even though I've listed it as spam about 3000 times.

Welfare is a good thing as far as being there for an emergency and temporary use but the way that it currently works IS LEGALIZED SLAVERY.

The part that falls under that category is the WEP program which doesn't give any incentive to get off of it because they threaten to turn off your case if you don't follow their wishes to work for 1 dollar a day. I agree there's probably some problems, I even said about welfare problems in another thread, but I wouldn't go as far to say it's legalized slavery. That's just way too far.

Anyways, my bitching has to do with my sunburn. Saturday I went to my brother's baseball games and was out in the sun for like 5 hours. It was breezy and a bit cool outside so I didn't really feel the sunburn happening since it wasn't real hot outside. So I didn't wear sunscreen and got burns all down my arms, face, and neck. I'm at the skin-peeling stage right now and it sucks, my face looks like snakeskin and moisturizer only helps so much.

I think it's just impossible for me to go without saying something stupid. I've fucked up a lot of potential relationships lately. I kind of just wish I just wish I lived in a box, with everyone being totally ignorant of my existence. I feel like everything has been grinding on my nerves lately, and I was doing so well too. Man, just existing wears on me right now.

I didn't realize anus and rectum were so offensive. Next time I see someone call someone else an ass I'll be sure to report it right away. Someone could be deeply offended and emotionally scarred!!

For some reason I think Vanilla gave me the infraction and I don't think I would have gotten it a week ago for the same thing.

Lets not mince words. Musicbanter loves the word "******." I don't think you were here then, but I told someone to cut the **** over it and the ****ing hipster-legions went ape**** because, you know, they liked Kanye and it was a fun word to say.

That battle has been taken up too few times, its used too freely, and if anyone around here had any god damned class, they'd drive it off these ****ing boards anytime someone said it. its a sad god damn state when its socially acceptable because some ass for brains with a sociology degree took one linguistics course and thinks you can diminish its power by using it freely and being a smarmy ass with fruit-loop emoticons attached.
