I have never seen someone focus for so long on such a trivial thing with so much intensity. If your entire goal posting here is to be allowed to share your link, you've pretty much assured with your behaviour that you will not be allowed to post it at any time. If you don't like the rules, staff, or manner in which things are run, it's very easy to leave the site and find another that suits you better. The longer you keep up this bitterness, the further you're opening yourself to punitive action, which will ultimately serve only to make you more bitter. Does it sound like you're winning when it's put that way?

I actually don't need this site for much of anything but find it ultimately fascinating in premise. I can stay extremely focused on a topic for a very long time, but no my 'goal' is no longer to share any of my musiq with this forum.

I am however finished pursuing this thread topic unless further provoked.

Please consider doing the same with your complaint, as it is not going to change the way that this site is run.

Well actually, is there any big reason as to why there's not a specific song promotion board? I mean, if you make a minimum post count or something for it I highly doubt it'd be abused. And it would stop the bitching from people like mister Sirius here. Unless there's some specific reason I'm unaware of. I don't really care either way though lolez

It doesn't work because people still promote all over the boards regardless. Spammers usually don't come in and examine the boards to make sure they spam in the right section.
They generally spam in as many places as possible for more exposure, or in relevant genre forums.

The lyrics forum works because it really doesn't make sense to post lyrics anywhere else in the same way, and many people find that forum through Google. Also, the people posting there are generally not trying to promote material in the same way people try to promote their music.

That's just wrong, I'm on several forums and sure some of them have more spam than others, for the most part it's not a problem whatsoever, and it is a great service to unsigned artists that wish a platform so that they can display there work, get critiqued from veteran musicians, gather a fan base, make a few bucks, and discuss their music with everyone.

Thats why people create WEBSITES. So that they can display all of this and have people take an interest in it. If you want people to see your work then make a website, post on youtube, join a social network. The amount of effort you've put into explaining this is just turning you off to everyone on this site, that might have taken interest in your music if you had taken the time to get to know people. Good luck with your music but please spare us the sob stories.

Sounds like you should be spending your time on those forums instead of here then.
