It could do with location, honestly. The UPS guy that delivers our packages is the same guy every time, so I think he knows how things work in our area. I don't know if Seattle performs their UPS/USPS deliveries based on location, but it would certainly make sense in that case. The guy is really cool, i've had up to 10 minute conversations with him about random ****.

I've never encountered a problem with UPS. I use them all the time and also my work uses them as a primary carrier. Federal Express I have had numerous problems with. USPS does just fine for me also.

FedEx would deliver a lot of my packages when I was living in California. They were okay, but they weren't as gentle with my packages as UPS usually is. I used FedEx to ship the record collection we had down from California to Seattle and we were told that the records would be just fine and not a lot of damage would be done to the packages, when we got to Seattle, we were a little shocked to see the condition of the box's. Luckily the records made it safely, regardless.

I've always had problems with UPS. All the other expedited parcel services have been good to me so far, like DHL and FedEx. Even Canada Post is decent.

Just last week, my mom had to order something for her car that had to be shipped from somewhere else. She went to Chrysler, put in her order and paid for it, and the guy at the dealership was like "yeah it'll be delivered via UPS". It didn't come when it was supposed to, and my mom called Chrysler to see if they mailed it - they did but she found out UPS delivered to the wrong address, so they sent it back. Now they sent it out again and hopefully UPS delivers to the right house. **** them.

Don't you know that all haulage companies lie? I worked in the freight game for almost 30 years, dealt with enough trucking companies to know that too many of them will tell you what you want to hear just to get the business. Did you pack it professionally? We were always telling people it can't ship unless it's professionally packed...

Funniest thing (well, not funny at the time but I laughed) ever was when I arranged for a friend and her boyfriend to use our services to ship their house contents to Spain (from Ireland). There was a TV in it --- don't think it was flatscreen or anything, not at that time --- and when it arrived it was damaged.

That's not the funny bit. How sick are you guys??

The bf's name was Jesus, so we got a letter from her saying basically: "The TV is destroyed, and Jesus is hopping mad!" Powerful friends, eh? We all had a good laugh about that. No, we shouldn't have, I know. But we did anyway.

It was packed as professional as we could afford. We got box's and bubble wrap and receipts to prove the weight. I just didn't like when the guy came to pick up the box's, I told them they need to be handled with care. He just carried on to throw them into the back of the truck as if there was nothing important in them. I'm surprised we got everything back in one piece. They didn't even need to be shipped on a plane, so I can't even imagine how hard it must be to drive a truck to it's location (sarcasm)

Sometimes I like small talk, but when people I know really well use small talk, I feel like they're doing it to hide something or keep from saying something to me.
