It's not just you. I have no idea how I would ever be able to share a life with someone like that. Like, you want me to not only keep informed of my life but to make you a part of it and make decisions with you about it? Weird.

Lmao, I'm the same, and all the other boyfriends I've had have taken it personally and couldn't deal with my independence or the fact I would never "need" them. I don't know why that was such a big deal but a lot of them have held onto it and held it up to mean I didn't love them because I could never need them which confuses the hell out of me, because I don't need anyone but myself but surely choosing to be with someone rather than being codependent is more loving...? I don't know, it always made me feel trapped. A lot of them seem to think I'm actually really a damsel in distress for them to save which is pretty much the exact opposite of the person I am...

Idk how to describe how it was different with him, but it just was. We complemented each other too well to make me feel smothered and he clearly saw me as more than just someone who loved him/he loved which most seem to never truly do. He truly was my other half.

Has anyone not got anything for Mother's Day yet?

Hate these stupid days but if you don't get anything you look like a knob. Fuck sake.

Yeah the whole idea confuses me, I rarely text and I'm a complete **** to try and get ahold of on a phone so someone constantly wanting to talk to me etc just isn't going to happen.

Yeah that's so true, I don't need anyone except myself. I've never actually been in a relationship but I could imagine that they would moan about me not loving them and other stuff that would bug me

So if you guys were so good, what happened?

I was the same way and then I stopped worrying about it and met somebody.

There's some landscaping work being done just outside my office and the sound of one of the machines is akin to my ear canal being raped by a man wearing a sandpaper condom.

Is it a pleasant experience? I only ask because it isn't obvious from your post.
