i feel like i have some sort of mild form of narcolepsy. i dunno what is wrong with me but i randomly feel like i can't do anything to stay awake. particularly when i am forced to focus on mundane tasks.

my sister has narcolepsy, which is weird because nobody else in our family apart from my grandfather's sister on mom's side was narcoleptic.

i don't think it's actual narcolepsy cause i don't just pass out on the spot. i just get sleepy and it feels really impossible to resist. happens at work, at school, when i'm driving, etc. i've tried a few things to combat it. more sleep, less sleep, more caffiene, less caffiene, better diet, vitamins, etc. nothing has worked so far except doing something physically active in the moment i feel sleepy to get my blood circulating. but that's not always a practical option. this is sort of a new problem for me though... i don't remember ever having this issue previously. the only other thing that works is certain drugs.. but once again not exactly a practical option in most cases.

keep in mind it's also winter so there's less daylight, so you're getting less vitamin D from the sun.

winter really blows. I feel tired all the time, too. Then again I also have a severe iron deficiency so that'd do it, too.

You two need to play hockey! That'll get you going in the winter.

We live in America. Hockey doesn't exist here.
