That's why we waited 3+ hours until we told her. The amount of people afflicted with celiac disease hovers from .3 to 2 percent in the US. While it is a real disease, it's also one of the first things that comes to mind when people self diagnose. If lil really does have it, it's a shame that stupid trends like these 1) exist at all and 2) push people like myself to be too cynical to believe someone when they say they have it because of all the people who are full of it when they say that. I've seen around 15 girls (haven't seen a guy who "had it" yet) complain about their celiac disease on their FB posts and how they totally get sick whenever they eat gluten.

There's just so much **** all over the subject I just toss it all in the same pile.

Frownland, i'm convinced that you don't really like Avant Garde and Drone music. You're just trying to live up to an archetype that grants you the social survival necessary to attain a full sense of homeostasis in the sub-societal strata that you identify with. I've seen hundreds of people just like you, with patchy beards and a fondness for abstraction and artsy black and white photography, far too many to make me be anything but jaded as to whether or not you legitimately care about your interests. Maybe you're the exception, part of the one percent that isn't just trying desperately to look intellectually superior to fulfill a sense of meaning and worth that was lost long ago, but i'm sorry, i'm just not buying it. I think i'm going to play some mainstream music for you, pretending that it's actually something independent and experimental, and after I ask you if you like it and you inevitably answer "yes" because you're trying to be nice to me even though it's actually upsetting you, i'm going to reveal it for the popular music that it is three hours later and laugh as you run to the bathroom to check and make sure that your beard and counter-culture persona haven't evaporated.

But I turned it around anyway, foolishly hoping that there would finally be someone with enough intelligence and self esteem to appreciate a comedic twist without feeling the need to assert their pathetic sense of dominance over everyone by trying to appropriate the twist for themselves.

Not really getting why it matters to you if it's real or not. I mean, she either has it or hasn't. Which of these options is likely to ruin your day, as opposed to hers? Why should she take a chance on her health to satisfy your inbuilt skepticism?
