But other forums do do thing like that, and I think that would be a really good idea for here
(Not that my input really counts, I'm only a newbie after all)

Urban Hat€monger ? 02-19-2008 05:36 PM

I'm not so sure that it's needed.

Approx 20 threads a month is hardly an epidemic.
And if a new person can't post in an introductions forum it kind takes away the point of it in the first place.

adidasss 02-20-2008 09:28 AM

But but...it annoys me....http://i216.photobucket.com/albums/c...bigsadeyes.gif

I am presumming I am still a Newbie.... But I can See that that sh*t is a very annoying thing...

djchameleon 02-20-2008 09:51 AM

I don't see it as annoying....it's not nearly enough to even reach that point

TheCaster 02-20-2008 11:43 AM

:P i didnt know the intro thread exsisted when i joined :D

Bloozcrooz 01-06-2011 03:06 PM

Lol geez some things are taken way to serious in life. I mean...I wont elaborate. I can see the point from everyones aspect. People not sustaing any length of time here and making pointless threads. There has to be some sort of order maintained I know. But to become a regular you have to start somewhere dont you? Maybe helping us "noobsta's" out from the start would nip some of the problems in the bud that seem to annoy you. I had a lot of questions the first day here and was very clumsy finding my way arouond the forum. Thankfully a couple of folks noticed and helped me out. After the fact that I asked some members before hand to no avail. Overall this seems like a good place to share ideas on topics and generally the ones that make up the meat of the forum are nice. Thankful for the chance to be a part of it. Lots of good things in here to laugh about to...my God. Anyway to each their own!!

So just so ill know how not to offend anyone..I take it commenting on an old thread is frowned upon? Just thought commenting on an old one would be better than making a new one and cluttering the the forum. Wasnt trying to pour salt on the wound.

Also, knowing adidasss, it wasn't intended all that seriously.

I think he was just engaging in non-serious venting.

Bloozcrooz 01-06-2011 06:19 PM

(I never really get that by the way)

I think its because as a child your brought to think it should only be 1 male and 1 female so even when you turn out a lesbian theres a good chance one of you will be somewhat manly. All in the subconscious.

s_k 01-06-2011 07:22 PM

Sounds logical.
(still a pity though...)

The world would be a better place with two hott lesbians instead of one

s_k 01-06-2011 07:34 PM

Haha, I can't disagree with that ;).
But don't understimate the power of bisexual girls :D.

I'd never do so. My ultimate dream is to date a bisexual girl and have her cheat on me with another girl. Then pretend I'm mad and guilt her into a threesome.

I know, I know... foolproof plan.

s_k 01-06-2011 07:37 PM

Not really. The plan is to date a bisexual girl and have a bisexual friend she digs.
Yeah.
Now I'm being a bit respectless, it wasn't a plan, but it worked anyway :D

Hahaha, take it easy mate.
Nou seriously, my girlfriend had a relationship with one of my female friends.
I wasn't allowed to join. But the view was nice :).

WTF... That's like the biggest tease ever man. She just made you stand there with a wood or something. I wouldn't complain about the view either, but that's like setting a lobster and shrimp dinner in front of a guy with broken jaws. Messed up.

s_k 01-06-2011 08:15 PM

One of them still was my girlfriend so it's not like I didn't get anything, but I couldn't join, really, no. Which was, I have to admit, incredibly frustrating sometimes.
I never really tried either. I probably should have. Ah well, it's been three years ago, I may have grown to be a bit more 'smooth' with these things over the years ;)

I think considering some of the avatars our straight members had in the past, mine is pretty chaste. And the ladies do appreciate it...;)

Anyhow, old old thread. I still don't see why people do this, but nowadays I don't care enough to be bothered by it. I just don't welcome every joe that decides to make an intro and save the welcome for those who at least make an interesting introduction, whether they stick around or not.

And yeah, resurrecting 3 year old threads by answering to the first post is a tad annoying. Chances are the person who made it has said everything they had to say on the subject and has moved on by now...
