I really need to just leave this argument. Nobody is going to change their minds because of anything anyone says in this thread. We are all fanboys loyal to whatever our chosen system is.
That said, the PS3 wouldn't have been so god damned expensive if they had made a gaming system. Sony had to add Blueray, web browser, bluetooth, blah, blah, blah. Things that could have been optional and lowered the price. The browser for Wii is even optional for $5. MS had the HD-DVD option to add on. Who cares if Blueray won, fact is that it was available when the outcome was unknown. It was not included so the price stayed reasonable. MS has wireless controls and headset. Out the gate you could get a 360 core with wired controls and no HD. If that is how you want to play, the option was available and it cost less. If you wanted to have HD-DVD, $200 and it was yours. Why do I need a web browser on my game system? I have plenty in my house already. 360 marketplace is more than enough for me. I can get things related to the reason I got a 360.
