If you've never been to a rodeo OR a chili cook off, you just don't know what you're missing! Houston has a kick ass rodeo every year last lasts the entire month of March. It's so much fun!

I might just have to check out this chili cook off in Snook...looks like fun.

i love the houston stock show,....
when i was alittle girl we would always go,.....gawd i love the astrodome,....

the cook off there is quite alot of fun too,.....

my granddaddy used to be on the board of directors, so my friends and i had these little passes that let us in anywhere, we'd ride on golf carts all over that place,....i kinda miss it,...

oh and the go texan events,....the hay haulin was always my favorite,...and the horse shoes,......

and all the little stores in the trailers,.....

and the concerts,.......

gawd i love the houston stock show

Yeah. I can't see how it could be better anywhere else. But that could be because I've never been to a rodeo anywhere else.

You're so lucky you got "backstage" passes. I'm jealous.

i remember the first year i ever showed there,.....i was in third grade, and was showin my horse jazz,....i wouldnt leave him there by himself, i thought he might get scared in a new place with all those new horses,.......so i slept the first few nights in the stall with him on a pile of shaveings and saddle pads,.......
i havent been in a few years, and now thinkin about it,.....i really miss it,.....

i swear as i'm typeing i can smell the mixture of cotton candy, pop corn, and cows,......

Dunno, your avatar says "a mature and situated business woman in her early thirties" while the rodeo pic says "fun gal to get drunk with". Perhaps it's the more conservative get up. :\
