I may be wrong, but aren't those sacred rats who live in a temple in India? Locals believe them to inhabit the souls of the dead, so come to offer them food and large bowls of milk daily. Those rats are pretty tame and attract lots of tourists.

Rats are more cleanly than most pets. I share glasses of juice with my rats because I am so sure of their hygiene.

The only wild rat I have ever seen was in London, it was a little brown one near Angel station all crouched over and cleaning it's face, people were gathered around it going 'aww' haha!

Poor thing was scared though, the excessively wash when scared.

I got a rat harness and lead today, and decided to fit it onto Vivienne so i could take them outside for a walk.

It's like a little waistcoat thing with a collar and belly strap, but I accidentally tucked Vivs legs into it and when I set her down on my bed she just started rolling like a sausage on a hill! I couldn't stop laughing I am such a bad mother.
