I might have the oppurtunity to get an apprenticeship at the San Fransisco Chronicle. Holy ****!
(I want to be a journalist.)

sweet_nothing 09-14-2008 06:44 PM

I finally figured out how to get music i've downloaded into my itunes library, srsly this could be the greatest day ever. :D

NSW 01-06-2009 08:49 AM

I'm resurrecting this thread because we need some positivity up in this beeotch!!

I'm on my forth cup of coffee this morning and I'm wired for sound...and it feels great!

I've got so much new music to go through that I can barely keep up, and so far it's all been new and different and amazing.

And...I think I've finally motivated myself to go back to school. I don't know what for yet...but it's going to happen in the next year.

Sneer 01-06-2009 09:10 AM

Ive realised i can totally own my Film Studies examination

Im severely into The Family Album at the moment, its bringing joy to my life

I appear to be improving health wise which mean my mates 21st is now a distinct possibility

Ive put on weight, which means this t-shirt that i love now fits me.

I got my mum an amazing birthday present and im stoked about giving it to her

Me and my flatmates think we've finally vanquished the mouse that has been terrorising us for a month

Heh... life is so trivial

Bulldog 01-06-2009 09:22 AM

My Film Studies presentation is finally taking shape, and I'm now barely 24 hours away from having something which has been a constant source of nerves out of the way for good.

Today I finally managed to start writing some stuff that I actually like.

I've discovered a hidden gem in my iTunes library called Blue Heaven by the Pogues. I'm now pretty much obsessed with the song.

I've got a nice juicy ham, cheese and pickle wrap with my name on it.

And I'm finally starting to get the hang of some bluegrass chop chords on the mandolin.

What a day :D

Janszoon 01-06-2009 10:41 AM

After having my last band fizzle away this past summer after two years of writing and recording, I think I may be starting a new project with a new collaborator. We'll see how it works out, but in the very early stages of talking to this guy it seems like it could be a good fit.

NSW 11-23-2009 06:19 PM

What the hell happened to all the rejoicing? Get happy people!

I'm happy my mom got through her heart surgery ok and she's looking like she's getting back to normal.

Ecstatic that I still have a job in this ****ty job market.

Also happy because I'm three beers into the night with no sign of stopping anytime soon. *Sigh* Oh how I've missed beer.

FETCHER. 11-23-2009 06:30 PM

I'm really happy this cheesy advert came on, right as I was in this thread, it reminds me heavily of a good friend I haven't seen in ages, (we used to sing it)
I'm happy I atleast have a job (kind of) in this recession.
I'm happy I have a roof over my head, despite not paying any digs, because my work is dead, so I've been off.

I'm quite sad I'm watching Coronation Street, urgh.

Mojo 11-23-2009 06:30 PM

I'm happy that i finally remembered to lean on Google to find out what that song is on Match of the Day 2.

Im sad that it's The Cribs.

BTown 11-24-2009 06:33 PM

As of tomorrow I have school off until monday.
I'll be hanging with my friends for the most part but most likely will be out late on friday and saturday.
I finished memorizing my speech for my honors class tomorrow.
Holidays are among us and that means Christmas lights.

NumberNineDream 11-24-2009 06:41 PM

_I filmed with a friend yesterday, a stop-motion short movie for a full 8 hours. That was pretty fulfilling.
_I got yesterday, from that same friend, the discography of David Bowie. I can't wait to arrange them in my iTunes and start listening to the many albums.
_I've discovered that many people that I thought hate me, turned out to really like me, and the presumed "hate" is just a concoction of my own paranoia.

VeggieLover 11-25-2009 02:27 PM

very glad that:
-I am still alive
-I am not now, nor have I ever been pregnant.
-i just slept for 17 hours straight
-it is thanksgiving break (finally)
-all my friends who went to college are back for break! huzzah!
-my mom managed to procure my feet x-rays from the hospital so now I can be facinated by them all the time. ya, im weird.
-I'm still ranked #1 in my class for GPA (which means I'm well on my way to being validictorian baby!)
-and im still alive (this is an important one, it suprises me every day)

Guybrush 11-25-2009 02:44 PM

I'm still looking forward to most of what I believe life has in store for me. I'm an optimist. :p:

Right now I'm on the last day of a seminar and it's been lectures all day for a few days now. Looking forward to going home tomorrow and seeing my GF and our little boys (rats) again .. Oh and I guess I'll have time to play Modern Warfare 2! On friday, I'll be going to an excellent concert which I know I will love.

Scarlett O'Hara 11-27-2009 02:40 AM

I'm happy because I just scared the **** out of myself watching the Blair Witch Project which I havn't seen since I was 13!

LoathsomePete 11-27-2009 02:21 PM

I'm happy because one of my friends from High School is back for Thanksgiving. We're going to hang out a lot this weekend because he's about to go to Cuba as a study abroad program with the State Department. I doubt I'll see him again for a few years too so I think we'll go hiking or something.

gunnels 11-27-2009 02:47 PM

I'm not grounded for failing Algebra II.

Good on you, I failed Algebra II back in my Freshman year. I had a lazy cockhole of a teacher who's best part about him dried up on his mothers thighs. I kept on telling him I was having trouble understand it, I asked as many questions as I could and he seriously stopped answering them, it got to the point where he just skipped over if I ever had my hand up. A few people complained but the administration did nothing so I just wrote "Fuck you you fat cunt" on my final and left. It felt really good and my mom was furious at both the teacher and administration for not doing anything she overlooked my vulgarities.

sidewinder 11-27-2009 04:47 PM

I'm happy I get to see some friends and family in about 3 weeks!

I'm happy that the sky is blue today!

I'm starting over this year. New places, new people, new hobbies. 2009 has had me stuck in a rut and I'm glad to be going out of it. Here's to a cleaner, healthier, happy year in 2010... full of friends, family and of course great music.

Arya Stark 12-08-2009 10:36 PM

So jealous. I've been itching to get out of this country for a while, if only for a little bit.

Jealous! I really, really want to go to the UK. If you come across anyone who has a striking resemblance to me say hello because it'll be one of my sisters.

Today I am rejoicing because last night was my first gig performing in the band that I'm in now, and it went really well. I had random people coming up to me afterwards saying that they really enjoyed it and really loved my voice which was very surprising and made me happy because I thought I wasn't that good.

You know that you have a good voice. Did u record the gig?

Well, I didn't think it was anything special, honestly. We are our own worst critics, I guess.

Yes, the gig was recorded, I've got lots and lots of photos, and my bandmates have the video so it'll be upped to YouTube as soon as I get my hands on it!

missinglink 12-10-2009 05:58 AM

im rejoicing prematurely here ... we officially close our doors tomorrow for a nice long holiday ....

and after a horrible year, both personally and work wise im looking forward to a fresh start in 2010. Hopefully full of opportunities and great times.

Today I found out that my PARENTS AND SISTERS ARE FLYING TO AUSTRALIA TO VISIT THIS CHRISTMAS! I am SO excited, my Christmas wish has been granted! I thought I'd be spending another Christmas alone but it's no longer the case, yay!

Bulldog 12-14-2009 04:17 PM

I had a few tutorials with my lecturers about the assignments I've handed in so far and, barring a disastrous second semester/next batch of assignments, it'd seem I'm on course for a high 2-1 this year.

So, yeah, I'm satisfied.

Awww, nice one. For a lot of people that might not be as great, lol, but glad you're gonna enjoy your holidays a bit more.

Anyone who complains about having to see family during holidays should spend a few years living on the opposite side of the world to them to make them realise how much they appreciate them! Seriously.

I wrote you a letter, and I'm really excited to show you. [[=

My mum is a New Zealander, my dad is Italian, but I was born and grew up in Australia. So I'm pretty culturally screwed up. I have 3 passports and citizenship in 3 countries, it's pretty funny. Anyway, at the moment my parents are living in Italy and my sisters are living and working in the UK. I'm so excited that they're coming as Christmas without family just isn't the same :(
