No.

CAPTAIN CAVEMAN 10-30-2008 07:29 PM

I support Unfan for moderator. I'd agree that he's active and musically knowledgeable, and would also say that he would bring a beneficial perspective to the mod team.

.....Sorry about your first born.

ProggyMan 10-30-2008 07:46 PM

Yeh, The UnFan, for the same reasons as starving. JJJ also, the nicest guy here and knows a ****load about music.

QFT.

Double X 10-30-2008 08:00 PM

Among the old guys, JJJ is never angry ever, and he's pretty smart. He'd make a good mod. Sweet Nothing is an isomaniac or whatever so I bet he is always on. The UnFan is pretty level headed.

Alfred 10-30-2008 08:17 PM

^I support this message.

TheBig3 10-31-2008 12:50 PM

Let me add here that knowing a ****load about music is as valuable for a mod as knowing a ****load about films, or gardening.

Here are some hard things you face as a mod:

1. Direct attacks. if you started as a regular member and are now a mod, you responses have to change. You can't spit fire like you used to you can ban people haphazardly. You want someone who knows when to walk away but isn't a pushover.

2. Intermixing. Ever see those debates that toggle between good points and vicious insults. Knowing when to step in or not to step in, knowing how to get it back on track without using your mod powers. Thats what you need, can your suggestions pull that off?

3. One of the team ****s up. What if another mod does something you said wouldn't happen? Or you're vehemently against? We know you can respond, can you respond in a manner that doesn't set the forums on fire?

4. Friends. Some of us have affinity for other members. However ever fleeting these might be, it may come to pass that you have to smash an old aquintence with the Ban Hammer like you're Thor. Make sure this is business, and all business. Rules are rules, and while judgements should never be made quickly, they should be made. When they are you should be ready to stand tall.

Akira 10-31-2008 12:52 PM

Taking all those points into consideration I would like to put forward names of mods I want taken off.

FaSho 10-31-2008 12:54 PM

^^^I would still vote for Sweet Nothing.

But it makes me reconsider nominating Sam.

simplephysics 10-31-2008 02:44 PM

Actually, I think Molecules would do a good job. He's one of the nicer posters, knows quite a bit from what I've seen and seems to be open to a lot of different types of music. fapfapfap.

That's what I was gonna point out.

OT: I have no idea, I haven't been paying much attention to newer members to be honest, but it would have to be someone who's on here a lot. *as wise as ever*

*smug*

*walks away*

_Spinning_ 11-01-2008 03:53 AM

Just re-mod Marijan and we'll all go back to burning in hell.

adidasss 11-01-2008 05:55 AM

Marijan is no longer interested in babysitting...;)

He's never really on though...

I reckon if I tell him he's been voted for he'll get back to his old ways. He is a mate of mine and all

:(

You evil meanie man.

sweet_nothing 11-03-2008 12:00 AM

I’d like to accept my nominations for mod. Now do I need to make a speech or something?

right-track 11-03-2008 12:23 AM

It's been decided who the new mod is and it'll probably be announced today.

We're also considering adding a second, so keep nominating.

dac 11-03-2008 08:35 AM

I bet it's Unfan.

Farfisa 11-03-2008 08:37 AM

I hope so...

Dr_Rez 11-03-2008 09:18 AM

I would enjoy the job. Online daily, read through most threads and would like to think my posts are for the most part helpful and informational.

right-track 11-03-2008 10:57 AM

New Mod

Akira 11-03-2008 11:01 AM

My forum looks weird all of a sudden, has that mod been messing about already!!! Lol.

Anteater 11-03-2008 08:46 PM

I personally feel that Anteater should be a moderator because he's the coolest animal on the face of Gaia. :)

JJJ and Unfan work too though....

FaSho 11-04-2008 02:15 PM

I'm still pulling for Sweet if they add a second.

Akira 11-04-2008 02:18 PM

Yeah any news on whether a second will be giving the key to the executive bathroom?

I'm voting for Sweet still also.

Urban Hat€monger ? 11-04-2008 02:20 PM

No just one for now.

Unless of course I decide i've had enough of you cunts :)

FaSho 11-04-2008 02:21 PM

That wouldn't surprise me...

Get my hopes up and smash them why dont you?

Farfisa 11-04-2008 03:28 PM

We need another nice mod like right-track and jackhammer... so I'm putting my vote on sweet_nothing.

Alfred 11-04-2008 03:31 PM

sweet_nothing or The Unfan at this point.

CAPTAIN CAVEMAN 11-04-2008 04:41 PM

i don't see how sweet nothing is even considerable.

dac 11-04-2008 04:44 PM

He knows his share about music and isn't an elitist f*ck.

My thoughts exactly. No offense to sweet nothing, I just don't see how so many people are backing him.

right-track rarely ever contributes to the music forums anymore, but he's one of the best moderators. It's not about knowing a lot about music. It's about being a decent person and having sound judgment.

simplephysics 11-04-2008 05:08 PM

It's just.. the history of his posts. I'm not saying he isn't a decent person or he doesn't contribute a lot; 4 months ago this would have been considered laughable. I guess I missed the turnaround.
