try canada for a week. in the last 7 days we went from a few inches of snow, then it went from -10 to +10 overnight and the rain cleared everything away. then it got just cold enough again so that it slushed everywhere (like about 2 inches thick EVERYWHERE). then we froze again last night and then tonight it feels like it's gonna thunder, high winds, and REALLY warm, we're supposed to go from about +15 to -10 in the next 24 hours.

i don't know if global warming really exists per se but climate change sure as hell is messing things up hardcore. 20-25 degree variances every few days is not natural.

savannah 12-15-2008 07:09 PM

ugh,....i kinda know what you mean,...about canada atleast

a few years ago, daddy and i went caribou hunting up there,....i limited out the first day of a four day hunt so i fished the rest of the time,...

i guess the cold wasnt so bad because i knew i was catching things,...doing things,...i cant here at home,...THAT and i rigged up heated waders,...so that helped with the cold a bit,...

the phucked up thing is a few days ago i was wearing shorts,...
texas weather is so strange,...it will ice for a week,...and then be 60

just thinkin about it pisses me off

i stay sick all winter partly because of it,....

I HATE WINTER

The northeast (USA) is having a blackout from ice storms.

Thats exactly how it is in Michigan. It went from 25 during the day to 40 at night. to a steady 30 yesterday and back down to 15 today. And in this time I have experienced snow and sun and rain and sleet and snow and hail. wtf?

Fraig 12-16-2008 12:50 PM

-42C here a couple days ago.

We're ambivelant to climate change or bad weather here. People in NH are generally without power for several days. Its a Ron Paul state up there.

anticipation 12-16-2008 01:39 PM

grow a fucking dick and get over it.

i wouldn't trade the weather in illinois for anything.

Basically. A few days ago it jumped from 23 degrees to 64...crazy. During the summer we had a storm so bad TWO lightning bolts hit separate trees and made a bunch of other trees fall within an hour. Half of my backyard was covered in fallen trees.

Dr_Rez 12-16-2008 04:53 PM

Please... Its been icy and snowing (in the twenty's) all week in Pittsburgh. Talk about sucking.

Surell 12-16-2008 05:44 PM

Canada's always cold as ****. We got sleet here. Arkansans aren't good with ice either. I almost dropped my ****in lunch. Had to break the salt out.

The feelings mutual sweetheart.
Texans don't do well in cold weather, including myself.......
Though I try to see the joys in the time of solstice when I can.
Like pissing names of obscure musicians on people's trucks.

Awww...I love the winter! And winter clothes are completely cute. Hats and scarves...I can't get enough of it. :D But I always said I was born in the wrong climate.

It'll be over soon girl...it's supposed to be near 80 by Friday. Besides, you know our "winter" only lasts like, what, a month and a half at best, and that's off and on. Hang in there woman!

I'm in the middle of an ice-storm which is at the bottom of my totem pole right now: My girlfriend is being stalked, and her grandmother (who I love) may be dying. So cry me a river. Men can't do EVERYTHING for you. I'm all for equality, but that doesn't mean we have to be your slaves whenever something physically laborious happens to come up. Buy an ice scraper, put some gloves on and get to work and stop crying over completely insignificant bullshiit. Seriously, if this is what's plaguing your life right now, you're leading a charmed life. (Yes I'm totally cool with making assumptions). Woman up, would you?

Most of the time, I quite like the cold and I much prefer a cold winter to a warm one.

But cold summers suck balls, I think .. not to mention polar nights and midnight sun.

i love alcohol as much as the next person, but if your complaining because your mother is frowning upon your drinking before noon (i assume this is around the time you wake up) then you might have some bigger fish to fry,.....

unfortunately your spot on about the muddy rainy winters though :(

This winter hasn't been friendly to me. The past couple weeks, I've had a sore throat that comes and goes. I've had to cut down on the smoking because of it. And to make things disgusting, I've been hacking up what I'm guessing is tar. It's black, brown, green, and red, and very very thick. I can repave our driveway with it.

NO ONE CARES ABOUT YOUR PROBLEMS

Predator 12-17-2008 09:41 PM

The service manager sent field service home at about 10am today due to weather. I asked to stay and finish some jobs, chained up my truck and worked till the work was done. No need to be a puss about it. I couldn't feel my ears for half the day.

Guybrush 12-18-2008 04:37 AM

I've spent most of the last two years up in the arctic at 78 degrees north. There are lots of little kids up there too and it doesn't matter if the temperature drops well below -20 with wind, they're still out playing .. and they don't complain about it. :p

Just put on more clothes if you're cold. You can always dress yourself warm enough, even if it takes neopren masks, woolen undies and several down jackets.

PaperHurricanesAndPlanes 12-18-2008 05:02 AM

I think you missed my point, CC. Not surprising since you're completely mentally deficient. But thanks again for showing that you have a complete lack of sympathy for anyone but yourself.
