I feel you, but I am more of a snowboarding fan. Less gear, cheaper, and more fun.

i haven't been able to go snowboarding in THREE FREAKING SEASONS. not a happy boarder right now. we get a few days of cold. maybe a few inches of snow. then *boom* 2 days of +10 and rain to clear it all away. local hills are making snow like mad in hopes of being able to start the season on monday.

Surely it was cold, otherwise there would be no snow present, or at least not in the powdery state that you see.
