weight issues

So I'm bored (slash struggling with my bloody website and trying not to throw my computer out the window) and watching the biggest loser. It seems pretty early on in the show (since they're all still obese), and the host just offered them $25,000 to quit the show.

Now, if it were me, I'd take the money and run. Granted I've never had a weight problem, but I also know that it's not hard to eat healthy and exercise enough. I also know that it's most likely an emotional issue, that something else is wrong that's causing people to overeat, but still, how hard is to to recognize you have a problem and fix it? Figure out what part of your life sucks balls and is making you bulldoze through 20 boxes of krispy cremes a week and fix it.

Another thing I just don't understand is how people can stand to be that unhealthy. I didn't grow up in one of those health-nut houses, but I feel such a huge difference when I eat unhealthy, even for just a day, that I hardly ever do it since I feel so awful. I feel really bad if I can't motor up a mountain face with a 30L backpack strapped to my back and ski back down 3 times in a row. I can't imagine not being able to get up a flight of stairs without getting winded. I realize not everyone values being incredibly fit, but still, when it comes to being a basic health issue, I don't see how people can be so unconcerned about it.

I am overweight and I would take the $25,000 easily.

WHo needs to be skinny when you can afford High Class Hookers?

I kid, but I would take the cash, and use it to take the weightloss experience privately... or just buy heaps of cakes... it would be a 50/50 decision.

They just had some kind of a fitness challenge to "kayak" a quarter of a mile and then hike a "mountain." Now they're all acting all triumphant.

First off, they were in inflatable pedal boats. A kayak is something that is propelled forward by a two bladed paddle. with your arms. The thing they used was not a f*cking kayak.

And I'm sorry, mountain? It was a hill. With a few steep parts. a couple hundred metres tall at most. that's not a f*cking mountain. climbing over 1,000 metres would classify as a mountain. not a couple hundred.

One fat kid was explaining how his abs were not yet strong enough to sit up straight in his blow-up pedal boat. If anyone has ever seen the movie Wall-E, these people are like the fatties on the space station thing.

Can I just add that when I said I am overweight, its not like those people on that show.

I'm not in the best shape, but I have hella endurance. So it evens out I think.

At least there's a tomato on it because you know fruit is good for you.
