no but it's an attitude that a lot of people have to address. i had a very negative view towards the games for a long time before finally trying it out. it's no replacement for the real thing but it's great fun if you like video games.

it's also a hell of a lot easier to jam with non musical friends (or in an apartment)

i see that style of games as somewhat of a practice tool. good for maintaining finger dexterity, more fun than running scales with a metronome.

It was more about Guitar Hero and getting a perspective from people who actually play it.

Rock Band 2 has such a great variety of bands and so much DLC to offer, GH World Tour and Metallica are just cheap imitations. Though I will admit playing a few Metallica songs would be nice, they have some in Rock Band already :P
