I don't listen to a whole shitload of "classic rock", but I can see how people enjoy it so much. Maybe it just appeals to them more than the music of today.

I personally feel that today's music sounds better, is performed better, and there's way more varieties. But it all started somewhere...

I simply don't enjoy their music!

I'll admit that it is more creative than the stuff I listen to, but it just doesn't appeal to what my brain enjoys listening to!
My post wasn't really directed at you. I don't like classic rock, for the most part. Which really means that I would never decide to just tune into a classic rock station and listen to it. It's a vague term that encompasses a lot of great music and a lot of terrible music, but what it really is is a type of radio station demographic, NOT a genre of music.
My post is directed at the creator of this thread. If you don't like something that's fine. There's a lot of music I don't like eiher, but don't make the choice to display your own ignorance and post a thread about it. All it does is cause everybody to try to reason with someone who,as wev'e seen in countless situations before is either too stubborn or ignorant to be reasoned with.
I'm not trying to be mean, but try to see the train wreck before leaving the station.

These metalcore bands you seem to like have riffs that sound like recycled 80s or 90s riffs. If you like new sounding riffs, why do you listen to these bands?

A real guitar playing what? Some recycled NWOBHM riff from 1981 , and a lead singer clearing his throat.

MC5 preached revolution , all this shit preaches is awful writing that wouldn't even be acceptable for a 5th rate horror B movie.

Taste of my scythe?

the guitar in that song sounds much better than whatever you posted. Different style of music, but it still sounds cleaner and better IMO

What does 'better' mean? How is cleaner better? Or do you just prefer it?
