Never had it, but I'm supposed to be on the lookout for this exact beer - it's required as a prop for the companion piece to my play, and the guys all drink Lonestar beer...in their play, titled Lonestar.

Can't find the stuff!

Really? Wow. I wonder if they don't sell it outside of TX. It's not a very good beer so maybe their marketing department likes to keep it that way (like, it's crap but .. Texas pride, y'all!).

Here it's sold everywhere that sells alcohol as far as I know. Cheap too. If you get desperate - I guess I could mail you some?

I feel your pain man, the liqour store on base here has 1 liter bottles of Canadian Club Whiskey on sale for $4 a bottle. Hard to pass it up. But we have alcohol rationing here like the Nazi's, so you can only buy 4 bottles per month.

man I know what you mean, a couple of years ago the normal price for a 1/4 bottle of Bells whisky was £5 here, 4 for the cheap non-label stuff. £10 for a quarter of JD though, I only bought that when I was working, but you can really taste the difference, it's quality stuff you know you earnt it

now they've all gone up by a couple of quid, still doesn't break the bank, but meh I lost my taste for it. Even the smell of disinfectant made me feel like I'm gonna puke. I'm getting the itch again though, haven't had a drink in a while

Drinking a White Russian right now. I'd never tried one before seeing The Big Lebowski, and it's become my favourite drink ever since.

Say what? Alcohol rationing? Why?

EDIT: And just after posting that, I realize you are now in Bahrain. Thought you were still in San Diego so I was kinda confused.
