I tried some grapefruit Leinenkugels, and they were nasty. Hope San Pel can do it right.

It's definitely not my favorite of the flavors I've tried but it's good. Never had the Leinenkugel GF, I got their berry weiss the other week and I've only drank one. It's more like a wine cooler than a beer, wasn't a fan.

This stuff is so good. As close as you are going to get to Pappy Van Winkle without paying thousands of dollars. Actually a bottle like this is only $22.

Speaking of IPA, volunteered to can some beer at ODD 13 brewing yesterday and now have 2 cases of this beer in the fridge. 8.5% Imperial IPA. Really good. Called Papa Silenus.

Smith & Forge Hard Cider

Now that it's hot as balls out it's time to start enjoying hard cider, but I'm definitely not buying this stuff again. It's not significantly cheaper than Angry Orchard and it has this weird metallic taste to it. It is 6% though which is nice...

You buy something called "Smith & Forge" and you're surprised when it tastes like metal?

Yeah I suppose that's a fair point, but I definitely wouldn't recommend this.

One of my mates is going out of town for work for a couple of months so we had some good **** last night.

Ballast Point Victory At Sea (10%)
Ballast Point Habanero Sculpin (7%)
Stone Imperial Russian Stout (10.6%)
Port Brewing Wipeout IPA (7.5%)
Foster's Premium (5.5%)
Lagunitas Imperial Stout (9.9%)

All but the Foster's was in 24 oz bottles. Good times.

I was invited up to a Tribes Alehouse the other day, and I asked for a Sam Ad. they don't serve it, so I was forced to order something else. I took a shot in the dark and went with one of these (which was actually really good, so I got another before leaving):

Pinner Throwback IPA | Oskar Blues Grill & Brew | Lyons, CO | BeerAdvocate
