That was delicious. Tasted a little light for a Russian imperial stout, but still had some nice coffee and dark chocolate flavours.

I went out again last night and got one of these after finishing that

Alesmith Speedway Stout

This one was super dark, very thick, not surprising at 12% abv. I loved it (figures), but I took it a little too fast and it made my stomach a little upset. It was totally worth it though, this is one of the best Russian imperial stouts I've had, with my favourite being Mission Brewing's one.

I usually stray from Russian Imperials in summer. Of the ones i've had i'd rank Parabola from Firestone Walker and 3 Floyds barrel aged vanilla bean dark Lord as my top two vote getters.

I'm kinda the same way, I'll lean more towards ales in the summer than in winter. I'm still a stout head though so I gotta get my fix. I've seen the Firestone one before, I'll have to try it. Not seen the other around but the owner of the liquor store I frequent is always open to suggestions so I'll see about getting the dark lord.

Midwest go to beer. My pops always has it on hand in Arkansas. He washes it down with Jim Beam.

Applebee's is serving this, and it's really freakin good. Way better than their Fish N Chips.

Saw that at Costco recently and considered picking it up. I think I will next time.

It's 4% beer, we could've put two and two together.
