I've found that tequila, like all hard alcohol, really has a taste difference they higher up you go. The reason why most people don't like it is the they get shots of the cheaper crappy stuff like Jose Cuervo (sorry if you like Jose Cuevro, I think it's horrid).

...or mezcal, which is real cheap tequila. I got a bottle, forgot what it was called, but it had a scorpion in the bottom. I bought it for the scorpion.
