How Do You Sleep?

How do you sleep?
Now this is nothing to do with the song by John Lennon (although ive included that for trivial purposes).
What I mean is how do you sleep at night? Like as in what way.
I know some people sleep on their backs & on their sides..like me.
I lie on my side with my knees tucked up like some big waein lol

Anyway if this is too inapporpriate then feel free to delete it :thumb:

LoathsomePete 05-18-2009 09:41 AM

Stone Birds 05-18-2009 10:25 AM

i listen to some folk-songs, i can never really choose a position and i have to rearrange my room every so often or i can't get to sleep. sometimes when that doesn't work i just go and sleep on a chair.

CAPTAIN CAVEMAN 05-19-2009 01:09 AM

sleepy jack 05-19-2009 01:24 AM

Yeah I never sleep cause sleep is the cousin of death.

mr. goth glam 05-19-2009 07:51 AM

I tend to sleep on my left side.

Any other way, and it's hard for me to fall asleep.

coryallen2 05-19-2009 07:54 AM

I lay on my right side. I guess I kick a bit too much.

That's why you're tired

(this is probably the worst post I've ever made so ignore it)

Fruitonica 05-19-2009 09:05 AM

I'm a chronic sleepwalker, thankfully it's never really come back to hurt me. But I'll often wake up with articles of clothing that I didn't go to bed wearing.
Once I took my computer moniter and the keyboard/mouse/speakers, and left it in a pile on the floor. It was a surreal moment in the morning.

I also lie there beating myself up over all the witty one liners that I didn't post on musicbanter that night.

Unrelenting 05-19-2009 09:07 AM

In the fetal position, to the right.

Yukon Cornelius 05-19-2009 10:46 AM

on my tum tum... Hey does anyone in here rock there head back and forth to fall asleep??

sidewinder 05-19-2009 01:49 PM

I usually start out laying on my back for a bit, as it's the most relaxing...but when it's time for deep sleep I lay on my right side.

Haha, I do that all the time as well, the minute I go to bed I remember something I had forgotten to post lol.

Yeah well usually I listen to my Ipod full blast to tire me out then I just zonk out on my side lol.

Also I find it kind of strange at how popular my thread has become, I seriously didnt think people would really post on it.

dac 05-19-2009 08:17 PM

Fetal position, switching sides often throughout the night.

Yikes...I could not do that. On occasion I'll play my iPod for a while when going to bed, but I usually put it on the lowest possible setting. Sometimes even that is too loud, depending on the music. I wish I could go one notch lower.

savannah 05-20-2009 12:22 AM

i sleep on my stomach with one arm tucked under my head and the other one straight out above my head,.....one leg tucked under me and the other one striaght out like a 4

and i cant sleep with my feet facein a doorway,...if the bed is that way then i sleep upside down

Seltzer 05-20-2009 12:36 AM

In the past I've slept on my stomach with my right arm under and my left arm over my pillow positioned at a 30 degree angle.

Nowadays I'm trying to lie on my back to improve my sleeping/breathing. And a mate of mine swears by sleeping sans pillow.

i cant sleep without a pillow,....if i dont have one then i have to find something to wad up in place of a pillow

pourmeanother 05-20-2009 12:59 AM

I sleep on my left or right side. Usually go back and forth until one side gets comfortable. Croch pillow is a must, due to the occupational hazards of lying on the side with the legs scrunched together. "Nutcracker". When I sleep on my right side I usually have trippy dreams. I also have weird sleep habits- my internal clock is set to hit the sack at 4 am, and I have to force myself to sleep anytime before that... generally unsuccessfully.

I tried it once and I simply didn't have the discipline required... more than once I had to get out of bed and grab my pillow if only to have the feel of the cold fabric on my face.

mr dave 05-20-2009 01:44 AM

how do i sleep?

with the borrowed dreams from a broken past.

I sleep by closing my eyes, letting out eased breathes and letting my mind slowly shut down. Then magically, beautiful angels sing and their voices put me in a state of sleep. Then in the morning, 9 hours later, I wake up after 196 dreams half of which are nightmares and either think I'm turning into a lesbian or just forget them and go on perezhilton.com.

I always need about 7.5-8 hours or I feel tired unless I make up for it the following night.
Also I can only sleep on the cold side of the pillow & its the opposite way about in the morning.
