First it was £20 every few months, now we are at the stage where she is asking for money on top of money she's already borrowed. Right now I'm owed about £200 and she hasn't stuck to the time she said I'd get it back (again). I say yes because I feel like I can't say no and feel guilty because of that. If this was a friend then would I fuck lend them money repeatedly and I doubt they'd have the cheek to even ask but when it's your close family it is difficult.

She seems to have this attitude that if she is struggling then she can be bailed out by me or our parents. I was speaking to my dad yesterday and he said he reckons she's into about 10k of debt with them and my face was like this . I started worrying because my parents aren't loaded by any means.

I simply do not understand where it is all going. She is one of those people as well who if you try to bring this up to find a solution you won't get anywhere as she will go off in a mood. I don't want to make her sound like an arse, but that's what will happen. It's near impossible to actually sit down with her and try to work a way through something. She has no discipline with money, I've been going round this week to fit furniture for her new flat and there was no need to buy any of it (she hasn't paid cash for some of it and is paying instalments which will work out more). Her flat is basically full of stuff she doesn't need. I have offered to go round and sort through her stuff, what she does/doesn't need, cook in bulk for her and take meals round once a week to save money on food (she gets home in the evening and then doesn't have the energy to cook so gets takeaways a lot) but whenever I text to say can I come round now then it's always 'not tonight, too tired'.

It's making me worry a lot and my parents don't need the extra stress at the moment, both of them are unwell, I fear there is something that's gone on that we don't know about and the money she's 'borrowed' off us is just the tip of the iceberg.

yikes, that sounds like a tough situation. it's definitely harder when it's immediate family.

i'm not the best with money but i feel like most people, myself included, would feel pretty bad having to rely on parents or siblings because your financial standing being so poor.

hopefully you can talk to her about it mate, or at least try to get her in some sort of position where she can start setting money aside.

You worried about drugs? Either way it sounds like you don't have anything to feel guilty over. You're trying to help in more ways than money, which is more than many people would do.

Cheers for reading Q-Man, needed to vent on here.

As far as borrowing goes there are exceptions but generally you are a cunt for even asking imo.

I'm gonna try and go round tonight and see how the mood is.

I'm sure a sensual caress will get her in the mood.

Not drugs mate, she's never been the type to do drugs. I'm worried there might be other borrowing that we don't know about. The amount of times she's asked me I'm thinking she must have asked a load of people already, I could be worrying too much I know.

Check between her toes for track marks.

She probably knows he's into feet, so again, sensual caress.

tbh just from eating out regularly, living out of your means, and mismanaging your money in general, it's pretty easy to always be broke. i know a lot of people who could really use some education on money management.

True Q-Man, but I would hope people would learn their lesson after a bit.
