I don't understand the hate for "ya'll". "You all" feels awkward, is two syllables as opposed to one, and I've seen no alternative that works on any level. "Ya'll" is the contraction everyone should use.

It’s not the word that makes me mad, it’s your ****ty contraction. Y'all is a compound of you and all, so the apostrophe is meant to represent the “ou” in y’all, not whatever the **** you’re going for. I wish suffering upon you and the next five generations of your family.
