For some reason that reminds me of this fundraising thing my elementary school did with a haunted house, a dunking booth, some thing where you got a goldfish or something, and what reminded me was this pile of sand and you'd pay like one ticket and you'd dig in there to find these tiny, cheap dinosaur toys. And for weeks after during recess we'd dig in this sand pit because there'd be ****ty dinosaur toys and we wanted them.

You should go see if there's still some in there.

In fifth grade my teacher set up this "archeology dig" in a field next to the school. The night before the dig I went out and buried a bunch of barbie heads, and was giddy the whole next day waiting to see the look on my classmates faces when they uncovered them. Mfw the time finally came, and not a single barbie head was found. I still don't know what happened.

I found a couple of .45 bullets in the sandbox at school in 2nd grade and the school blamed it on me and suspended me for a week.

Reminds me of the time I handed a handful of nuts and bolts to the guy in front of me on a roller coaster as we were climbing the first hill.

The last few posts remind me of a time when we were playing in an area where a new subdivision was being built. They were just putting in a sewer system at the time, so there was this sewer port already buried, but with nothing hooked up to it yet, and water flow wasn't going to be a concern. So we take off the lid because we were going to chill or have a makeshift fort or whatever, and the first thing we see is a Playboy magazine resting atop the dirt floor. I was young, so I knew what it was but didn't give it the proper thought before I brought it home, handed it to the folks and said, "Look what we found."
